My husband''s only style of ...
ON painter ... ONLY ... my husband wears and it's been that way for YEARS! I'm thinking about 8 now, since he discovered them. (Before that it was Carhart). They are the perfect fit for him. He doesn't want a crotch that is too tight or too low since he works construction... and he loves all the pockets. I like the fact that they hold up pretty good considering the relative light weight of the denim and the price! They all seem to rip at the crotch seam after about 8-12 months, but my hubby is hard on his clothes! I really hope they keep carrying this style because they no longer carry it in the stores (apparently the only sales of this style were in the Midwest... but we LOVE them here!) I don't mind ordering online, I know what size to get and it's always consistent (although sometimes when ordering the darker denim style, they seem to run a little larger, not sure why)

LOVE THEM!
I absolutely love these ... They are so comfortable! The denim is soft and comfortable. I got the 34 x 34 as I'm tall the fit was perfect - I am honestly tempted to get more!

Will buy these again!

Very very comfortable.
I've been shopping for loose fitting ... some time, trying my previous old stand by's, Eddie Bauer and Land's End, but they have changed the fit of their loose fitting ... too many times, and I got tired of sending them back and paying return shipping charges. The Old Navy painter's ... fit like a dream and are very comfortable! Plenty of room across the front of the thigh and the hips. Initially I was concerned about the light weight denim (EB's and LE's feel quite a bit heavier) but now I'm sold on it - much more comfortable and the material breathes a lot better. The Old Navy painter's ... little shorter in the rise than I am accustomed, but still fit well.

Ehhh....
Feels like the quality of the denim has gone down, it just feels thin. The waist seems like it is to low. I am not a woman and do not want a low cut waist to show my hips and panties....

Very Dissapointed!
I have been going to Old Navy for over 10 years. It has been my favorite store. I have trusted in their ability to provide great quality for a great price. After purchasing these ... never go to an Old Navy again. The ... were the worst quality ... have ever purchased. From the denim to the overall construction, it screams cheap and low quality. I have even bought cheaper ... [@] that are of far better quality. Overall, i am completely dissapointed with this purchase. If I were Old Navy, I would be completey ashamed of holding this product in my hand, packaging it, and sending it to a customer. That speaks volumes to me. That shows me how they value me as a customer and how they value me choosing to spend my hard earned money with them. I am done with Old Navy.

Not what I expected...
I've purchased these ... past from the store and been very happy with them. When buying from the website I assumed that they would be the same, quality ... good price. Boy was I wrong. I guess you get what you pay for but these ... not worth the price. The quality is poor and the denim material is thin and cheap. The cut/sizing is off too, they fit too tightly in the butt/thighs. They even made the pockets smaller, I can barely get my hand into the front pockets. Very disappointed. Buyer beware.

Just bought some ... khakis from old navy thinking the value and quality ratio would be the same but no, no,no, NO. Who in the [*] makes these rags now? Some slave labor camp somewhere? Why has the quality gone down so dramatically? I bought some Painters ... both the same size and both pair weren't even remotely the same. The 32" inseam on one pair was more like a 30" and the other was like a 34". The waist size will vary as well so buyer beware! I used to wear Old Navy ... switched to Bull Head(s) for awhile but it's like a whole different company. Better off going to [@] or somewhere because at least there you know your geting slave labor mass produced goods. The denim itself is even cheaper, way thinner, rise is wrong, inseam is wrong---everything. I'll never shop there again, no wonder they give you $30 off coupon to come back otherwise no one would. I'm returning them and am officially an ex customer. Epic Fail here people. BTW I am an average dude, wear size 32---32 so it's not a body type issue it's a cheap, cheap, cheap issue from the vendor. Someone at this compnay has poured a keg of super concentrated Suck on their items. Better off shopping around these days and avoiding the sell out companies that move items like people eat cattle. If these ... were cattle they would be tainted with Ecoli and taken off the market immediately. BOO!

Super!!
Though these ... men, if you have the right figure, they fit great for women! It is wonderful to have a 100% cotton fabric, without any spandex and a heavy weight denim! it reminds me of the ... wore when I was a teenager and early 20's, as a woman had to buy men's ... back then! I bought three pairs in different washes and many of my girlfriends are about to do the same thing!

Great ... great price on sale!!
Really good ... much better price than most sellers. I have purchased 6 pairs of Old Navy ... fit is very consistent. My only minor complaint is that they are slightly distressed and I would prefer to buy dark denim and wear them in myself.

Really nice ...
These ... aren't the ON "premium" label, but the fit is the same. The denim is a little stiffer and less soft than the others, which I am hoping will improve after more washings, but my son likes them and the look.

You get what you pay for.
The ... worth the price, but not by much. The denim is thin and the zipper just feels flimsy. They fit well, but the boot cut on the bottom of the leg is too big in my opinion. I always wear boot cut ... compared these to all my others. OldNavy boot cut ... were 1" wider at the bottom of the leg then my largest boot cut ... think I will have to bring them in and have them taken in about an inch and a half. They look more like bell bottom ... than a boot cut ...

Disappointed...
I have shopped at Old Navy for years and always loved the merchandise, as well as the prices. However, I've seen the quality of the clothing become increasingly poor recently. This purchase will be my last. The denim material is ridiculously thin! I would rather pay a little more somewhere else for clothes that will last. Sorry to say that I'm really disappointed in what used to be one of my favorite stores.

The most perfect men''s pants!!
I am writing this for my husband since men don't usually like to do "reviews". He was so impressed with the pants because he has never gotten pants that fit so perfectly before, and, what really sold him was the fact that the denim that the pants were mad of wasn't heavy and hot. He didn't say it but I know he thanks Old Navy!

Nice Material and Fit
Lighter weight denim that fits as listed. Very comfortable. Like the ability to order in between sizes (35" waist) since I'm losing weight. Great value!

Not the same
The quality of these ... noticeably different from my husband's last few pairs of Old Navy denim, which lasted about 5 years. These are much thinner, in fact you can see daylight peeking through when you hold them up and look through a single layer of fabric. In the 2 months he's been wearing these, one has a run through the leg and the other has a spontaneous hole. He didn't sit on, catch on anything. He likes the lighter weight, they look nice and fit well. They are fine but I will be seeking out something to last longer next time.

Cheap material
I have worn Old Navy ... past 6 or 7 years. I recently purchased two pair of the regular fit. When I got them, I was highly disappointed at the color of the ... thickness of the denim. The denim color is very light indigo and then stained so they look like dirty ... right out of the wash. The material is thin and stretchy. Definitely not a traditional pair of denim ... Time to find another ... supplier.

Denim is cheap
The denim is very flemsy, feels like garbage, denim is as this as a t shirt. NOT WORTH THE MONEY

Awesome!
I normally don't buy pants or ... Old Navy anymore because they typically don't fit me right. However, after reading all the positive reviews on the Rockstar Skinny Denim Leggings, I decided to give them a shot.....and I am so glad that I did! These are wonderful. I bought them yesterday at a local Old Navy store in the black color. I took a risk and didn't even try them on. I just bought my regular size. All I can say is that I am going back for another pair! I also plan to buy these in the other 2 colors. These denim leggings are very versatile. You can definitely dress them up or down. I think they would be great tucked into boots too. I can't wait to wear these with a lot of things in my wardrobe! Thanks Old Navy for making me a believer in denim leggings. And please keep making these!

Love these jeggings!
I first bought these in the distressed dark denim color and then ordered them in black. The stores are having a hard time keeping these in stock, so it's slim pickings unless you hit it right when a shipment comes in. Beware that the denim material differs from the colored material and fits slightly differently, but not enough to get a different size. The denim ones have been my wardrobe staple, and look super cute with all kinds of longish tops and tall boots, booties or flats. I can wear them several times without them stretching out and they aren't too tight - they're just right. I did not find them to run small as some others did - they are meant to fit snugly. The waist is a little loose, but not necessarily a bad thing as you don't get that muffin top. I have been washing inside out in cold (wash them solo a couple of times) and the results have been great. My only gripe with the black is that they do attract lint - keep your lint roller or some tape handy, especially if you have on a top that sheds (or a pet for that matter)! Definitely going to go back for a third pair, hopefully in the darkest denim color...

Give them a chance !
Just try them on ! I have worked for the company for 5 years and had the hardest time with their ... Typically whenever the store gets new denim I don't give any of it a second look. Recently we've gone through fit sessions in which we choose denim and try it on so we can have a better idea on how the new denim fits. I loved these and ended up purchasing them. I am 5'2" 125 lbs and these fit great. They do run small so go up a size. The length was as I expected and they do stretch out a bit. My biggest advice is try these on before you purchase them and grab a few sizes !!!

Finally, real denim Rockstars!
The Campfire, Starry Night, and Dover colors are amazing: sturdy, true to size, breathable denim where you can turn up the cuffs and show white weft just like traditional ... but with all the stretch of Rockstars! The real denim colors are 77% cotton, 21% polyester, 2% spandex, just like the old style dark elastic weft Rockstars in Dark Wash and Black. Sadly, other reviewers are correct about the bright color fit problems: all of the the bright colored Rockstars aren't colored denim, but 98% cotton, 2% spandex stretch poplin jeggings. I have no idea why some bright colors are listed as Super Skinny and some as Pop Color when all have the same fabric content. Old Navy, please find a way to make black and bright color real denim Rockstars!

cant get enough
i just got my 2nd pair of rockstar denim, and i love them just as much! these are the perfect ... - comfortable, flattering, and suitable for all occasions. i love the colors and will probably get more. the only thing to be careful of is the sizing that changes with the fabric makeup. i wear a 4 in the traditional denim but a 6 in the colored denim.

Surprisingly flattering!
These are very tight fitting ... not jeggings. They have functioning pockets, a button and working zipper. Not super thick denim (not really denim at all) and they are stretchy so very comfortable and cute. They are low rise, though, but no gapping in the back of the waist. They definitely run a full size small and are short. I'm always an 8 short and got a 10 reg and they fit great. I bought the black. Wish the colors were better- the gray looks like a denim gray but the blue looks like navy blue pants not denim. Versatile, easy to tuck into boots, cute with heels or flats. Also try the skinny flirt. Higher waisted and slightly looser fit.

Love/Hate Relationship
I wrote a review earlier about the inconsistent sizing in ON Rockstars. I am still very frustrated by that...but I had a pair of the starry nights in a 6, and based on that I ordered the lighter denim and the dark denim in a 6 and they fit great! However, they fit differently. The light denim feels more mid rise while the dark denim is lower rise much like the starry night ones I already own. I am lucky in that I like both fits. To reiterate the total lack of consistency with sizing, I have all the regular demin colors in a 6, a red pair in a 12 and a bright blue pair in an 8, different shades of grey ranging from 6-12. I am normally across brands a size 6. I love rockstars, I wish they would just get their sizing right for loyal customers :)

Love, But Had To Go Up a Size
I absolutely love the color of these ... have them both in apple red and sky blue. I'm 5'6 and 128 lbs, and while I traditionally wear a size 6 in the denim Rock Star, this time I went up to an 8. It seems like the colored ... have a lower spandex / stretch factor than my denim Rock Star's, and the 8 was much more comfortable. Thankfully, even in going up a size, I did not lose the skinny factor in the length of the leg. Full disclosure, I don't tuck anything in to skinny ... only wear longer t's or tunics. These are a great ... capture the most recent colored denim trend for an outstanding value!

Here''s the deal...
I'm 5'8, 145 pounds, athletic build, and typically wear an 8 long in ON ... light denim and black Rockstar ... wear a 10 tall. But in the colored ones? I ordered up to a 12 tall in the purple and could barely button them. Also, the dark denim ones in a 10 tall were such a low rise, even in the tall, that they pulled at my crotch and were totally unflattering. You are basically taking a gamble if you order the tall sizes, because every single color fits differently. In the black and light denim, size up one size from your normal ON size (flirt, diva, whatever). In the colored denim, you want to go up at least 2 sizes, if not 3. And even the tall sizes won't guarantee a rise that will actually work. When you can find your right size, these ... awesome. But good luck getting to that point!

What a let down!
I have many pairs of the rockstar ... regular denim colors. I've been searching for a pair of red legging ... some time now and took a chance with these. The tobiko orange color IS actually a red color. It's not a pure red, but it's way more red than orange. I was debating whether or not to get these or the other blend of rockstar ... picked these because they have polyester in them (like all my other rockstar ... stretch for days) unlike the other set of pop color denim old navy sells. Unfortunately, when I received them in the mail, they were a flop. The denim is not stretchy at ALL despite the large amount of polyester it has in it. I almost couldn't even get the pants over my calves and struggled at the thighs. So, if you're debating getting these based on other experiences with rockstar ... you've had, go at LEAST one size up, if not two or three. I'm only giving these pants a two star rating because the colors are so wonderful.

Inconsistent sizing
I ordered 3 pairs of these, sea salt, gestault green, and the starry night denim. All in size 4 petite except for the white. Since they weren't available I ordered a size up and got the 6 petite. The denim fit great, the green were too tight! and the white even fit ok, a little long in the leg. In comparing them the colored ... were much longer than the denim. Unfortunately I am returning all except the denim. I hope to find the green in store that fits, however I know they won't be the petite length which means I'll be paying extra to have them altered. Also the sea salt isn't a true white, more cream.

LOVE this jacket!!!
I have wanted a denim jacket for years but they are always too narrow in the shoulders for me. I got this one on a whim and I am so pleased that it fits perfectly!!!! I got it in my normal XL and it actually fits across my DDD bust with enough room to get me through this pregnancy and after. It is cropped. I am 5'4 and it hits my natural waist.

perfect fit
I've been wanting a denim jacket for a while now, but now that I'm pregnant and cold all the time, I needed a denim jacket. I orded this one because of the price and I knew I could return. Initally when I tried it on it felt a little big, but after washing it I feels great. I also bought a size down from what I would normally wear and I think that if you are smaller chested/framed on top it works better to order down. I would have bought a medium before reading other reviews, but purchased a small.

Fabulous jacket!
I adore this cropped denim jacket! When I first put it on, I felt just like my old pre pregnancy self! It is so chic and cute, that it does not feel like a maternity piece. It layers wonderfully with maternity tops that are longer in length than the jacket. The jacket falls at the top of my waist, and I have a short torso. With its cut, it could be worn in early pregnancy, and also later, since it falls above the belly. The denim is super soft, and worn to have a great finish. It honestly looks exactly like the denim jacket I wore pre pregnancy, for which I paid about [$] from a different retailer. This jacket is well worth its great price. Regarding fit, I am wearing a size 16 in ON maternity, and the XL fits me perfectly (I have a DDD chest). Thank you, Old Navy!!

i absolutely love this denim jacket! i normally wouldnt buy a denim jacket but i saw this n i jus had to have it! it fits great in my shoulders, chest.. doesnt fully go around my waist but its all good n the sleeves r a little long but i jus roll them up once n its adoreable with almost every outfit, not sure about with gaucho pants tho. will continue to wear my pregnancy.

Cute Jacket does run big
After reading reviews I ordered this jacket a size down from what I normally wear and it fits perfectly! It isn't tight, for me (5'6) it hit at the right length and I am excited to wear it with the black maxi skirt I bought off of this website. I think it's a great piece for spring and fall. The denim isn't too heavy and I can easily roll the sleeves up for a little different look.

Cute but short
As other reviews stated, this denim jacket is very very cropped. I plan to wear it with maxi dresses over the summer, which will look cute, but I'm not sure that it would look good worn with everything.

The Fit Isn''t Great, But It Works
I got this jacket in a size medium after reading the reviews saying it was too baggy. I have a regular denim jacket from Old Navy in a size large that is a little too baggy, but the medium's sleeves were too short. I wish I had gone with the large because it's tight across my back, and the sleeves are just barely long enough to be comfortable. I love the style and fit of the rest of it, though, so I still wear it - often!

Medium, Loose even for big chested girls
i'm not preignant, but bought it cause the Maternity White denim jacket in Medium fits me perfectly, so i purchased same but in blue denim, medium maternity. Surprise! this was quite loose, i'm a chested girl, and still gets loose, is weird, guess should get the small one, but products take sooo long in arrive.

Great if not preggers too
Was looking on line for a denim jacket to wear under sundresses and found this cute cropped jacket and took a chance. Loved it. Perfect if you are big busted. Normally wear a size 20(46DDD) and chest fit wonderfully as did the body fo the jacket. I can close it with about two inches to spare. Arms were snug but then again that's always been an issue for me. Not meant for me to layer with something underneath... but great for the summer time under a sundress or short sleeve t or tank/tee. Great priice purchased on clearance.

Good jacket!
Love the soft feel of the denim, I've had other denim jackets that feel rough and heavy but this jacket is light and soft, probably should have ordered an L instead of an XL but I have thick arms and wider shoulders so I just went a size up, might shrink up after wash and dry, we'll see... Looks great with dresses or leggings

Love It!
I originally bought this jacket in a size Large because I trusted reviews saying it fit small in the shoulders. I didn't find this to be true at all and had to return and reorder. So glad I did because this is one of the only jackets I can button up now. I'm at 27 weeks and getting bigger. I really like the cropped fit. I accentuates the bump and hits where I am thinnest - the top o-the bump and bottom of my breasts. Some reviewers say it fits boxy around the bottom. I think they aren't advanced in the belly area because I couldn't button it at all if it wasn't cut like this. (and it doesn't look on a big belly) The wash is good too. I do not like denim with whiskering or other faux aging techniques used these days. My Hub, who is a denim freak says it's actually pretty well done. And all for [$]! Wait till there's a 25-30% off sale. Seems like they have one every 3 weeks or so. I'm docking 1 star because there aren't any pockets and I need pockets.

Stringbeans, unite!
As someone who's 6'5" and built like a Festivus Pole, it's always been a bit of a challenge finding ... bootcut are pretty good, but these are great. Better denim than the last pair I bought, too. And for [$] a pop, I don't mind paying another thirty for the international shipping.

great value for the quality
I was really happy with the product. The denim colors were very close to the on line images and were exactly what I was looking for. The creases at the top of the thighs really accentuate one's natural body lines. A nice touch I would expect in much higher priced ... Very pleased. Pleased enough that I have since ordered some of the other style ... offered.

These are my son's favorite ... now - fairly low rise, good fit! The washes determine the denim weight - the lighter the color the lighter the fabric seems to be. He wishes you had dark ones that are light weight for summer!!

Bought size 32W 36L (Tall) Thanks for expanding your size range this year! The denim is thinner than O.N. ... made in the recent past - just so you know. But at least the length is right for my skinny, long legged son.

LOVE these ...
had ordered these once before but they were out of stock, was excited when i was finally able to get a pair. they are great for casual wear and dressing them up for an evening out. the wash and color are exactly what i was looking for. the material is slightly lighter weight than i would expect for denim so i may have to order some additional pairs in case they wear out too fast, and the rise is slightly lower than i had expected so i feel like i'm pulling them up a lot because i don't have a "butt" to hold them up in place lol, but overall i love these ... highly recommend them to others.

Oddly... feminine
I ordered these pants as a gift for my boyfriend, expecting to receive a pair of basic mens' ... However, the denim weight on these ... much lower than those of the older style Old Navy ... which led to a rather interesting clingy effect when he tried them on. I'd try to exchange them for a different size, but I fear that Old Navy has abandoned more traditional heavy weight fabrics for trendier, thinner, almost stretchy fabrics, so I'm just going to return them.

Paper thin denim, way too loose. Unimpressed.
I usually stick with Levi 501's, but received a pair of Old Navy straight fit ... while back as a gift. I just picked up two more pair for myself, as I found the old pair very comfortable, and wanted some casual "weekend" ... received was paper thin denim that was marked as having a 36" waist, but literally fell off my hips and had no less than 4" of room in the waist. It wasn't simply a matter of receiving the wrong size - these were labelled as something they clearly were not. Not just one pair - but two, so it wasn't a random fluke. These poor fitting ... weren't even worthy of being considered "discount" or "off brand" ... Really disappointing.

Seriously?! Ah mazing.
This is the first time in my 25 years of life that I have tried on a brand new pair of ... fit me like one fab pair of gloves. I did not shake, jump, squat, or wiggle into these ... They are a true size 6R and the length is actually true to the picture... I can actually wear flats with these ... without having 4" of extra denim pooling around my ankles (I'm 5'5"). They've got a bit of stretch in them so they are comfortable. My only issue with these is that they sit a bit low on the waist, and since I do not come equipped with a six pack, I wouldn't mind a little extra protection in that area. Regardless, I never thought I could find anything remotely close to "the" pair of ... ::sigh of relief:: I purchased these in the dark denim color, and they will be great for wearing on the weekends!

I love these ... have looked all over for a pair of ... would be sexy and comfortable. I bought them in a size 14 and they fit like they should. The length is perfect, the cut is perfect, the denim is soft and they feel just as good as a pair of lounge pants. I would definately buy them again.

The best ... I''ve had in a while
I was so pleasantly surprised by the cut of these ... They fit right in all the right places, but most of all, I appreciated that they didn't stretch out beyond recognition after a few hours of wear. They've held their shape better than ... cost three or four times as much! I originally order the regular length, assuming that the ... would run long (as is the trend for lots of denim these days), but I returned them and ordered the long, which fit much better. I'm 5'9".

Why do I love Old Navy ... so much? I have never purchased ... can dress up enough to wear to work or out to dinner. They are so comfy. I do have two complaints, however. One: They fade very quickly. I have to buy a new pair of the darkest denim every three months or so. I use detergent specifically for dark clothing. Two: The length is inconsistent. I am short (5'3"), and I have to buy the "regular" length ... Sometimes those are too short! How does a tall girl find pants that are long enough?!

These are a great buy. Good price for a reliable pair of ... My only concern is they were a little stretched out by the end of the day. Nonetheless, very comfortable and a good fit. I'm short, so I got the long length so I could wear with my tall shoes and they're a perfect length. And I love this wash! Why wouldn't you buy the dark denim??! :)

Good alternative for women who don''t like skinny ...
I can't wait until the skinny ... fashion phase ends. Unless you have a perfectly proportioned waist, butt and thigh, skinny ... not a good look. I'm a size 2, but thanks to my athletic thighs and non existent butt, I can't wear anything with a sharply tapered leg. I'm also quite short, so low rise is a must with any pant or skirt. These ... were the only ones out of dozens and dozens I've tried that actually fit me. They're still not perfect, though. The denim is kinda thin compared to other brands, and the waistband is too large and stretchy. That seems to be a common problem-- I wish manufactures would stabilize waistbands better. I sew a lot, so I'm planning on stitching a 1.5" grosgrain ribbon to the inside of the waistband to help it keep its shape.

Decent fit but fabric is not good
The cut & fit of these ... good, but the denim is just so cheap feeling. It is thin & un substantial. Granted - the price is really down & dirty, but I'd rather a bit more & get a bit more. I used to LOVE the ON denim, but they have really been using a cheaper quality the past couple year!

Not true to size
These ... not true to size. I ordered two pairs of the lighter color denim and had no problem with the fit. They actually fit perfectly. The darker color is cut way too small. They are no where near the same cut in the waist or hips as the lighter color. A major disappointment for me, now I have the trouble of returning the two pairs purchased.
