MMM, cold weather clothes
First off, I WISH we could try on our clothes before we bought, but i understand that ON makes a ton more on online purchases! Alrighty, as far as the jacket goes, it is pretty much perfect. Exactly what I was hoping for. I wear [...] clothes pretty much all the time, however their activewear ... joke. So, that being said, I would have worn a ... 22-24 up top, and a 24 sqarely on the bottom. I'm 6 feet tall with long legs and arms... well pretty much everthing, lol. When I was choosing a ... here I went with 2X on the jacket, and a 3X on the pants (I was trying to outsmart the system by only having to return one of the incorrect ... :x ) Jacket fits perfectly!!!! Love love the lining on the inside. Sleeves are down to first thumb knuckle! Fits close to the body. [...]
Better than expected
I had been looking (and looking, and looking, and looking - everywhere) for a dark grey zip up hoodie that WASN'T too long for my torso. American Apparel, for example, had the exact color I was looking for (asphalt), but the torso on their hoodies was like 8+ inches too long for me, which makes it look terrible when zipped up (I carry my weight in front, so I had to hike the waistband up and over, leaving a lot of gathered fabric over my midsection - really unflattering). I ordered this in charcoal size XL (or 1X - smallest ... size, because I like my hoodies snug), but I was a little worried about it being too long as well. Particularly because a few reviews mention that it runs long. It came today and I tried it on - it's the PERFECT LENGTH!! Not too long at all. And the color is exactly what I wanted as well. I'm thrilled.
Robbie Red I love you!
I had gotten the green LA Sweatshirt in 3X which is sold out now, but just ordered the Red New York one in a 2X (my shirt size is about an 18 since I lost weight) and it fits great! Its not to heavy or light, love the fleece inside and the red with the snowflakes- AHH I could die! These DO run just a tad small so be real with yourself on your size- if in doubt go with the size up. ... everyone has their own preference on how fitted they like their sweatshirts. I like mine a little more fitted, but with room to breathe. <3 these!
So hard to find the right size
It is impossible for me to find the right size with these hoodies! I read the reviews and what other people suggested but nothing worked for me. I tried the XXL in the regular women's ... too big, yet the 1X in women's ... too tight on me. So I went up to the 2X and its huge on me, and extremely long. I wish ... clothing makers would understand that larger women don't always need something to be longer when you go up a size. Its too bad because its a warm yet lightweight hoodie with a super soft lining and i'd love it if I could get the right size, but it doesn't look like that's going to happen. If only Old Navy would carry women's ... STORE, we wouldn't have to keep buying online and returning things because we can't try them on.
Had to go up a size
As the other reviews stated go up a size. I rated it only 3 stars because we should be able to order our true size without worry. Order up and it will fit great. The pink is a really pretty color and it's hard to find good ... size pink hoodies so I was happy about that. It's not too thick but it is warm enough for California.
Uncomfortable,Unflattering,Weird Cut and Low Quality
Im 5'10 and although ... size Im evenly proportioned with a defined waist. Major negatives are the sleeves are about 2 inches too short,the length is oddly long but not balanced with the stretch or width of the garment and it's thin material,like what you'd expect from a cheaper brand [...] sweatshirt.If it at least fit right it could be layered under a jacket.There's no stretch to it and I ordered a ... up and it was still too small.I have bought ON sweatshirts before and they have not had these issues so Im not sure what happened.I already washed it hoping it would break the fabric in to give iot a bit more stretch so I cant return it. Not worth it.
Order 2 ... up!
I read the reviews here re: the Women's ... Fleece Zip Hoodies - Dragon Green and ordered up a size larger than I take (which is 1x) and when the hoodie arrived, I couldn't zip it. It's THAT small. This is not ... correctly, and I am a true 1x, 5'3" in height. The sleeves, ironically, were the only thing that fit generously. This is NOT fleece material, it's a sort of upscale sweatshirt, but the sturdiness/construction and color make it a very worthy purchase. In order to achieve the baggy, casual look I want, I exchanged this 2x for a 4x, which I anticipate will be roomy, but not "swimmingly" so. (side note - I did ask the CS rep Amanda to please provide my feedback to Corp. asking for the ... Size section to please be put back into the store because this is not a way for them to do business - it's very inconvenient to place an order multiple times to try and get the correct ... especially when the ... all over the place.)
TOO SMALL to be a 4X!!!
Like the other 2 hoodies I recently purchased, this is not ... correctly. I have consistently worn Old Navy 4X ... size hoodies for a while now. Love 'em--all the colors...styles...NOT this one: it is basically a size 2X---possibly a SMALL 3X if you push it. Love the quality as usual; loved the color...the style...but the SIZE?? What happened Old Navy???? This will be relegated to the winter storage box and hopefuly I'll lose weight so it will fit when the seasons change...If not, it will be donated to the abused women's shelter where someone will have a new, bright hoodie with no regrets from me for having donated it. If you're looking for a true to-size hoodie, THIS IS NOT FOR YOU!!!
Underwhelmed, as usual
What is it with inconsistent ... Old Navy's ... clothing? I bought this sweater in a 3x, because it'll shrink a bit with washing, and I am tall, so I knew I needed the next size up for arm length. I tried it on, and felt like I was stuffed into a sausage casing! I had to check the tag a few times to make sure the size was correct. The arms came right below my elbow. Not much of a sweater, as it is thin to boot. This is why I rarely order clothes from ON for myself. None of their ... consistent! I can buy a 2x shirt and be swimming in it, I can buy a different 3x shirt (based on cut/style) and its like I put on an XS! This will definitely be going back, and I doubt I will order anything for myself from ON again, because it is a pain in the butt to have to return everything the day after it arrives, and wait a few weeks for the money to get back into my account.They should have never removed the ... store! Especially if they can't stay consistent with the ...
Another Disappointment
I really don't know why I bother ordering from Old Navy. I think I have finally learned my lesson after this purchase. The items are either way too big or way too small not to mention that most of their ... size items look cheap. They don't think enough of their ... clientele to offer ... their stores. I almost always end up returning what I but online from them. Last year I ordered a hoodie from them in a 3x even though I typically wear a 2x. It ended up fitting more like a 1x! I kept it and have gotten a lot of use out of it (the only item I've ever kept from here). So, this year I ordered this particular hoodie in 4x black thinking that maybe it would fit better than last year's snug 3x (ps my weight has stayed the same)--WRONG! This hoodie looked more like a huge black tarp. I understand that the size does not matter its the fit but when you are only allowed to order online it would be nice to see some consistency in the ...
Had to return this sweatshirt.
The sleeves were just too tight. So much for being ... also didn't love the material, it felt like a cheap sweatshirt you would buy at a discount store.
