way better than expected I seriously bought these pants purely because they were on sale for cheap and I just desperately needed pants, any pants, for work. Instead, they have turned into my favorite all around pants for pretty much everything. They're slightly high waisted, which is good for those of us who don't have perfect abs (read: pretty much everyone), and the petite length is PERFECT even for me (I'm 5 feet tall and like my pants a bit on the long side). They're a bit loose in the waist, but that doesn't bother me; I'm extremely curvy and have this problem with pretty much everything except, like, tights. The bonus of the slightly longer rise is that it fits under tops very well, so you don't get that dreaded "flash your underpants at everyone" gap that can happen when pants are too loose in the waist. The wide waistband is a huge bonus because it actually fits a real belt (I usually wear men's belts for whatever reason, and for a lot of ... pants, the beltloops are too narrow to fit). I was concerned about the material at first because it seemed a bit scratchy, but after washing them once or twice, they feel perfectly comfortable and the weight of the fabric lets them drape really well, so I actually appreciate it, and the material doesn't seem to pill at ALL, which is awesome.
Perfect! I am 6 feet tall, 158 lbs, I usually need 36" inseam, and I always have a hard time finding pants that would fit me just right, and I am always scared to order pants online. I risked it this time and ordered these pants and they are perfect! My thighs are kinda bigger... and many pairs of pants are usually very tight on my thighs. And I do have a waist, and many pairs of pants stick out so much in the back above my bottom. But these pants are really perfect. Nothing of the above happens with these pants. I ordered size 10 tall and went ahead and bought the other two colors, too! :)
Ultimate Comfort, Fit, and Look These pants fit perfect. I typically wear old navy size 8 in casual pants and size 6 in jeans. I ordered 8, and they fit perfectly. They look really nice, not like a pair of cheap pants. They are as comfortable as sweatpants. They are also easy to machine wash and dry and come out wrinkle free. Great comfortable pants to wear to work in an office. My only complaint is that the front pockets pouch out a bit and come inside out upon occasion. I'm not sure if it is the pants or my build, since I have a slim waist with a not so slim back side. Love them!
Great! These pants are exactly what I was looking for for work. It seems that I go through work pants like crazy because they always shrink in length and look like flood pants after just a few months. Or, my black pants fade like crazy after a few washes. Due to the polyester/spandex in these pants, I think they are going to hold up great with both shrinking and fading. They do have quite a wide leg, but personally I like a wider leg and I don't think that they 'flare' at all. They also have a higher rise than I expected, but again I prefer that for my work pants. I ordered the black and the 'heather oatmeal' (I think it's called?) The oatmeal color is a little different than I expected - almost sort of a dirty khaki color - but I like it. Someone here said that it is gray. It is not gray, but it is not your basic khaki color, either.
Great pants, but you may want to order one size up I usually buy a size 6 in womens dress slacks and a 7/9 depending on the style of pants or jeans in the juniors section at Old Navy. This particular material did not give a lot of movement in the inseam/crotch area, though the pant fit perfect everywhere else, and as someone who is constantly moving about on the go at work, I need a pant that moves with me, not fights me. So I called the 1-800 number and ordered a size up to an 8. Rep was super helpful, and that extra size did add a little extra rise in the crotch area, not a significant change in the hip/rear, but did add a little extra looseness to the pant leg. Was able to do refund at the local Old Navy for the size 6.
versatile pants, great service Old Navy pants are a staple in my closet as they are generally sized better for my frame than any of the other major merchandisers AND they wash very well without the need for dry cleaning. These pants are a nice weight, and the fit is in line with other ON pants, although these might be slightly tighter in the waist than others. In the petite size, the dimensions are well proportioned, and the width of the leg on the lower half of the pant is loose but not exaggerated. As with many ON pants, the flap pocket can be easily tucked into the open part of the pocket so that you can wear the pants with a flap pocket or a flat pocket--the weight of the pant makes this possible as long as the pants have not been purchased to fit too snugly. I happen to like this feature as the flap pocket can be more flattering to those of us who are less endowed in the rear, but, with certain tops, it certainly is nicer to tuck in the flap and have a flatter silhouette. The customer service assistance with this purchase was excellent--I was pleasantly surprised to receive better service than some of the high end retailers I've purchased from in the past.
Great pants First off, I am 4'7 & 100 pounds. I was so excited to get these pants. Never really able to find any pants that fit me perfectly, I searched online for hours one day looking for pants to fit really short people! I work at an office, so I need nicer looking outfits. I love the way these pants fit around my waist, hips and behind. I do very well with Old Navy's Sweetheart pants because they fit just a little over the waist. The two things I did not like was that I have to shorten all of my pants, and I was surprised at how much I needed to cut off to properly fit me. I am very petiete, and as excited as I was to receive these pants, I was dissapointed in how much longer they were. I also thought the material was really thin. I would have liked them to be a little thicker and sturdier. They tend to show the outline of your underpants.
Not the same... These pants definitely aren't the same as the previous style. I stock up on these every year or so, and kept hoping ON would release something similar to the older style. That didn't happen, so I gave these a try. The pants aren't awful, but the cut in the hips and through the thighs is very different. I prefer a straight cut as that is a better match for my figure, but these have those awful 'wings' of extra fabric on either side. The side pockets are different, too. I used to be able to keep my cell phones in the pockets without an issue, but now with these pants it looks completely awkward and bulgy to keep my phones in the pockets, and adds a ton of width (and the illusion of weight!) to my hips. I bought the petite size, since ON no longer offers a short option, as I have learned that their pants run long. The petite size is perfect with heels, but a bit long for flats (I am 5' 7"). The rear is way too loose for me -- again, a straighter cut is more flattering because that can accommodate a wider variety of figures. These pants are wearable, but not the greatest version of the ON basic work pant.
Way too small and short I wear the same size in Old Navy pants, shorts, skirts, etc. so of course when I purchased these pants I thought that they would fit as all the others do. I was wrong! These pants were way too short and barely skimmed my ankles, I am 5'5". Also the fabric is very thin and tight; the pockets show through the pants so you walk around with two squares on your bottom all day. One review said that these pants are like leggings and I have to agree that they have the same attributes. The funny thing is I ordered these pants in two colors and only the black were too small and short, the stone/khaki (can't remember the name) color fits great and isn't too small.
Nice pants but too short! I ordered these pants hoping they would fit since some of the reviews stated they ran short. Unfortunately, they were way too short. I've always ordered a 6 Regular from Old Navy and never had a problem with the fit and length. The overall fit and look of these pants are wonderful but they are so short. I'm 5'7" and these pants were too short to wear with flat shoes, so forget about wearing them with heels to work! Since I loved the fit on these pants, I decided to order the 6 Tall hoping they would also run a little shorter than stated so that they would be perfect on me. No such luck! The 6 Tall was so long on me that I had to have them tailored. I'm so bummed that Old Navy made the inseam short on these pants because their dress pants are usually my favorite pants for work. I will definitely be ordering from another company this year.
Not happening I ordered these pants looking for a nice pair of work pants. When they came I was extremely excited and tried them on right away. I ordered a 16 Tall which ON pants in the talls are usually super long, when I put these pants on they looked like they were average pants. I was very disappointed. I don't know if they were tagged wrong or what but I definitely took them back to the store.
