Slim and slightly flare!I bought ... pants, shorts, skorts, Boy's shorts all in SLIM size and they fit my kids perfectly. ... pants are slightly flare and not too formal for a uniform which I like and the adjustable belt goes a long way! I like all 3 colers; Navy Blue, Khaki, Oats.
Great pantsI bought these pants for my daughters, who are both in a youth orchestra. They fit well and the price was great on sale. The black does show quite a bit of lint, so we have to use a lint brush fairly often, but I guess that's how black pants are. The regular ... bit big, but ON pants are usually large on my ... because they're very thin. I just buy the size smaller in slim and they fit perfectly. Great purchase!
great for tall, thin ... Was not expecting to love these pants as much as we do! In the past have only bought 2 pairs of Gap's pants that would last throughout the year (lots of skirts were worn;), this year however, my ... (6 years-7 slim and 8 years-8 slim but about to outgrow length) wanted to wear pants more and halfway through the year wore holes throughout them! Couldn't bring myself to spend $30+ on uniform pants, so thought we'd try these. So glad I did! They fit my tall and skinny ... wonderfully! Still have to cinch the waist on the slims alot, but we have to with most pants anyhow. They have a slimmer profile than Gap's that we all love and look great on. The material is soft, feels nice and has washed wonderfully. And the price is great. Will be buying these next year for sure.
perfect for schoolI got these for my ... school and they are perfect...their uniforms are navy and white. These pants are comy and durable...and definitely easy to wash. They didn't shrink when washed/dryer. I bought a size higher for both of them just in case of a growth spurt and they fit as a size high should fit.

Way too longI'm a fully grown (lol) adult, 5'2 and 96 lbs. I own three pairs of Women's Perfect Khaki, size 0 Short (30 inches long), and they fit me perfectly. I decided to give these ... stretch twill bootcut pants, size 14 regular, a try. I was at first a bit worried that they may be a bit too short. Wrong! Even after washing and drying in regular heat, the legs are still 32 inches long---that's 2.5 inches longer than what the size chart says!!! Ah well, I'll have to take the hems up. But IMHO, this inconvenience more than makes up for the value and comfort of these pants,
Why No 14 or 16 Slims Available Online???These are our go to pants for both my daughters' school uniform needs. They are not perfect but with limited choices out there for slim ... they fit the bill for a very reasonable price. However, for 2 years running I have had to search high and low in stores and call all over the place to have items shipped from around the country in order to get 14 slims!! Why does Old Navy sell regular and plus size 14 and 16 online but not slims??? This makes no sense whatsoever and makes it twice as hard to find the pants we need each school year. Please make 14 & 16 slims available online as well as in the stores!!
Good ChoiceI bought the ... plus sizes because I wasn't sure how true to size the pants would be however, I should have purchased the regular size. The pants were a tad bit too long and loose in the waist although there is an option to adjust the elastic. Although they are a little too big, I still like the quality and the fact that she can also wear them as part of a casual outfit. I'm going to purchase more but in her true size.
Just so soI am a huge Old Navy shopper and love most everything I've ever gotten from the store. This is the first time I've shopped on line for any items. I ordered these pants because of all the reviews stating that they were longer in length and would be great for ... were long and lean, as my daughter is. I was disappointed that I had to stretch the elastic to the point, it bunched up and made the waist line very uncomfortable all day long for my daughter. The length just fit to the bottom of her ankle, I guess good enough, and I can roll them up as capris in the spring. I guess, lesson learned would be to go to the store and physically try clothes on. I wish stores would make clothes for ... tall and thin, or that just have long legs. I will continue to shop at Old Navy, I love the store!
plus size ... not longer My twin ... between sizes so the plus size was perfect for them to give the extra room in the smaller in between size. My only complaint is that plus size does not mean they are longer. I had to cut 3 inches off and sew another hem. Hated to do extra work for something that should already be done.
Needs a size upI just recieved my order of the 6 pairs of black pants I bought for my 2 ... I'm irritated cause all the reviews say that it is true to size. HELLO! It's not I'm here to say that's not true. So attention all MOMS, make sure u get one size up. There's also an adjustable ban inside just in case u need to know. But make sure u order a size up

... Cropped Leggings I bought these for my grandaughter who normally wears a size 4T. She needed pink and there were none in stock in her size. I decided to try an XS in ... they fit her perfectly. We like!
Good quality for priceI got these for my 5 year old for the last 3 years & she loves them! She wears them alone, under demin mini skirts, those tutu looking skirts, regular cotton ruffle skirts, short shorts...etc! She is my little fashionista & 2-3 times I couldn't find her size so I purchased similar ones from another company & she put them on & they looked awful plus she said the material was itchy so she'll only wear Old Navy & Gap leggings. The only warning I have is do NOT dry them in the normal cycle of your dryer. Either line dry them or if you must use the dryer then use a cool or delicate setting. If you dry them on the regular setting more than 3-4 times they get misshapped. You end up w/ a crooked inseam & it's noticeable! (Gap leggings too - same company!) BTW all of my daughter's clothes get passed down to my ... friend's daughter, then her little sister & then to another friend of ours & ON/Gap leggings made it!

I need something in between pants and shorts for my ... these capris fit the bill. My daughter is a 6x but these capris do run a bit small. She takes an 8 or Medium and the fit is PERFECT. Some capris look silly on her because she is not super tall...they look like her pants are too short but these are perfect and fall just below the knee. GREAT BUY!

We bought six pairs, in assorted styles and colors, only to find that they were on the tiny side. My daughter is tall for 10 yrs old and usually wears a 10-12 in leggings from [...] [...] Gap, [...]. The size Large (10-12) from Old Navy were great in the length but really snug around the waist. So, SIZE UP!! We ... up to the XL for a perfect fit!

These leggings hit just below the knee and seem to have washed well. They are thin so I am not sure how durable they will be but she seems to think they are comfortable. Colors great too!
A bit on the small sideThese leggings are very comfy! my daughter loved them, only they are a little on the small side in the rear end area. Next time I would choose just one size up. otherwise, they are great!

... Cropped Leggings I bought these for my grandaughter who normally wears a size 4T. She needed pink and there were none in stock in her size. I decided to try an XS in ... they fit her perfectly. We like!
Good quality for priceI got these for my 5 year old for the last 3 years & she loves them! She wears them alone, under demin mini skirts, those tutu looking skirts, regular cotton ruffle skirts, short shorts...etc! She is my little fashionista & 2-3 times I couldn't find her size so I purchased similar ones from another company & she put them on & they looked awful plus she said the material was itchy so she'll only wear Old Navy & Gap leggings. The only warning I have is do NOT dry them in the normal cycle of your dryer. Either line dry them or if you must use the dryer then use a cool or delicate setting. If you dry them on the regular setting more than 3-4 times they get misshapped. You end up w/ a crooked inseam & it's noticeable! (Gap leggings too - same company!) BTW all of my daughter's clothes get passed down to my ... friend's daughter, then her little sister & then to another friend of ours & ON/Gap leggings made it!
Great!These fit my daughter perfectly! I wish Old Navy would carry PLUS ... their stores! They have the best PLUS clothes for ... available, but you have to order online. We would buy so much more if ... PLUS ... were offered in the stores!
GREAT CAPRI FOR GIRLS....PERFECT LENGTH...FINALLY!I am so happy with these capris. Living in Maine, we don't have much of a spring...and summer isn't very long. I need something in between pants and shorts for my ... these capris fit the bill. My daughter is a 6x but these capris do run a bit small. She takes an 8 or Medium and the fit is PERFECT. Some capris look silly on her because she is not super tall...they look like her pants are too short but these are perfect and fall just below the knee. GREAT BUY!
Tiny But Cute!Old Navy leggings are a "must have" in every ... wardrobe but be advised...they run SMALL! We bought six pairs, in assorted styles and colors, only to find that they were on the tiny side. My daughter is tall for 10 yrs old and usually wears a 10-12 in leggings from [...] [...] Gap, [...]. The size Large (10-12) from Old Navy were great in the length but really snug around the waist. So, SIZE UP!! We ... up to the XL for a perfect fit!
Great for school uniformsWe bought these for my ... wear under their school uniform dresses, and skirts that don't have built in skorts. They're perfect. We do wear a size smaller than we'd normally buy, but both of my ... have very tiny waists, so that happens to us frequently, even with other brands.
Leggings are leggings...What can I say? Leggings are leggings. After a few rounds in the dryer, a size small fits my 4-year old quite well. These aren't as stretchy as the Gap ones we bought, but they will serve their purpose just fine at half the price. Definately a staple in every little ... wardrobe! :)
Short & small but cuteI bought these for my daughter who is one month shy of four. She is tall and thin- 38" and 37lbs. While I normally would get her a 4T, the XS ... size fit well and actually are shorter than i expected, which is nice for spring/summer. These leggings hit just below the knee and seem to have washed well. They are thin so I am not sure how durable they will be but she seems to think they are comfortable. Colors great too!
A bit on the small sideThese leggings are very comfy! my daughter loved them, only they are a little on the small side in the rear end area. Next time I would choose just one size up. otherwise, they are great!
practical for fallgreat little leggings to go with just about anything, they shrink and run small so order big, i bought the size xs 4/5 for my 2 1/2 year old and they fit great.

Great pantsI bought these pants for my daughters, who are both in a youth orchestra. They fit well and the price was great on sale. The black does show quite a bit of lint, so we have to use a lint brush fairly often, but I guess that's how black pants are. The regular ... bit big, but ON pants are usually large on my ... because they're very thin. I just buy the size smaller in slim and they fit perfectly. Great purchase!

(6 years-7 slim and 8 years-8 slim but about to outgrow length) wanted to wear pants more and halfway through the year wore holes throughout them! Couldn't bring myself to spend $30+ on uniform pants, so thought we'd try these. So glad I did! They fit my tall and skinny ... wonderfully! Still have to cinch the waist on the slims alot, but we have to with most pants anyhow. They have a slimmer profile than Gap's that we all love and look great on. The material is soft, feels nice and has washed wonderfully. And the price is great. Will be buying these next year for sure.

Way too longI'm a fully grown (lol) adult, 5'2 and 96 lbs. I own three pairs of Women's Perfect Khaki, size 0 Short (30 inches long), and they fit me perfectly. I decided to give these ... stretch twill bootcut pants, size 14 regular, a try. I was at first a bit worried that they may be a bit too short. Wrong! Even after washing and drying in regular heat, the legs are still 32 inches long---that's 2.5 inches longer than what the size chart says!!! Ah well, I'll have to take the hems up. But IMHO, this inconvenience more than makes up for the value and comfort of these pants,
Why No 14 or 16 Slims Available Online???These are our go to pants for both my daughters' school uniform needs. They are not perfect but with limited choices out there for slim ... they fit the bill for a very reasonable price. However, for 2 years running I have had to search high and low in stores and call all over the place to have items shipped from around the country in order to get 14 slims!! Why does Old Navy sell regular and plus size 14 and 16 online but not slims??? This makes no sense whatsoever and makes it twice as hard to find the pants we need each school year. Please make 14 & 16 slims available online as well as in the stores!!

I ordered these pants because of all the reviews stating that they were longer in length and would be great for ... were long and lean, as my daughter is. I was disappointed that I had to stretch the elastic to the point, it bunched up and made the waist line very uncomfortable all day long for my daughter. The length just fit to the bottom of her ankle, I guess good enough, and I can roll them up as capris in the spring. I guess, lesson learned would be to go to the store and physically try clothes on. I wish stores would make clothes for ... tall and thin, or that just have long legs. I will continue to shop at Old Navy, I love the store!

Not so super skinnyMy daughter is too tall for toddler and normally wears a 5 slim or XS ... pant. She wears a 6 in leggings. We got 5 reg ( no 5 slim offered ) and the bottom/ hip is huge. Legs are fine, length is good, but I have elastic on smallest setting and it just bags off of my daughter. 6 slim would be too long. I can't believe how big these are.

Cute & comfy but larger than expectedThese pants are super cute and probably comfy and they were a great value but they were much larger than I anticipated when ordering. I hoped to shrink them after washing but didn't have much luck. Normally in plus size clothing the length is a little shorter but these were very, very long and will need to be hemmed, which takes away from the flared look. I ended up having to order two ... down to get the right fit and those were a little slim in the thigh but will work. I wish these came in my size because they look super comfortable!
Plus size pants are perfect!We have shopped at Old Navy for years, and my daughter has worn their clothes since she was a baby. Unfortunately, their regular ... no longer seem to fit! I have searched for reasonably priced, comfortable, stylish clothing for her for months and bought these pants expecting that I would be returning them. She put them on and they were perfect! The plus size had more room in the belly (and booty) but they were still the right length. I have bought 3 pairs of these and she loves them! My only complaint is that when she wears them she looks like she's all grown up!

Not like the material from last year...This material is very thin... not like the cotton ON used last year. I have two ... pretty loose around the waist. By the time it actually fits their waists the pants will be too short. But they are good to lounge around in so that's what we are using them for.

Super cute but very thinThese leggings are so cute and come in a lot of great colors and patterns. Plus, I got them on sale so the price couldn't be beat. BUT, they were a LOT thinner than I anticipated. You can clearly see the pattern on my daughter's underwear through the fabric. So they work very well under dresses but I am not comfortable using them with a long shirt or tunic.

Love ''em!I bought these for my son. I'm tired of baggy jeans... beyond tired! These look GREAT on him! Nice FitThey are definitely skinny jeans but they aren't painted on which is a relief as a parent. My 13 year old loves these jeans and thinks they are quite comfy. Thanks for having the 16 plus size available...it's perfect for her.
Skinny n super skinny are my favsi love this style too! I'm a 14 plus in these but a 26 & 27 in Paige. I'm5"2 so hemming is a must for me but I don't mind since these style also fits so well n are super cheap compared to name brands ones. I wear them slightly rolled up to my ankles with booties, stilettos and sometimes riding boots in a long loose fitting tank top over a boyfriend blazer or sweater and it looks very stylish and easy. They are comfortable for me and I wear them more than my other name brand pairs. I recommend these if ur on a budget and love fashion.

Not The Perfect FitNot so skinny jean, I ordered these in a size 16 for my daughter and they are baggy in the front and loose. The jeans are of good quality, just order the size your child truly wears and you will get the perfect fit.
got them in all three colorsThis is the second year I have purchased these jeans for my daughter - she is super difficult to fit because she is 11 years old and already 5'8" - she has not developed yet so she doesn't have much of a waist, but not really much of a tummy either. The Plus ... closest we can come to fitting her, although the waist is too big, and by the end of the day they are saggy in the butt - so definitely have to wash after each wearing to tighten them up again.Fit issues aside, these are a good basic skinny jean, not insanely tight. Bought in black, distressed and dark wash - the dark and black are my favorites, the distressed looks a little too fake in the distressing, but my daughter is happy with them so they are fine with me. The length is long enough for her which is a miracle and if they shrink she will just tuck them into her boots...

Why low rise kids jeans???These jeans are too low rise for my daughter. It's so hard to find basic jeans for ... aren't skin tight and show her underwear when she sits down. My daughter is 5 1/2 and wears a 6 in pants but these were just too low. We tried the boot cut and those were higher so we'll keep those.

Not quite what was expectedI bought these ... my daughter. She has several pairs of the dark material super skinny ... she loves them. These are supposedly the same pants only a different color/material. My daugther's major complaint is that these ... not "skinny" enough and they also run longer than the darker style ... She can't figure out why the same ... different colors don't fit her the same way. Disappointed.
Itchy material and too long!I really wanted to like these ... because compared to the Gap ... these look like real skinny ... Unfortunately, when I put these ... (also bought them in Dark Wash), they felt itchy and the length was way too long. This was the same for the Dark Wash pair. The only positive point were that they were skinny compared to Gap's super skinny which are more like straight ... don't know if I am the only one, but I have noticed a huge inconsistency with Gap/Old Navy ... 12 Plus (too short for Gap and too long for Old Navy).
Perfect for J.Lo--Huge in waist and seatI was really disappointed in these ... My daughter is very slender and tall so we ordered the slim fit (7s). The legs were indeed slim and fit well and the length was great, but apparently Old Navy thinks super skinny ... meant for ... potbellies and J.Lo bottoms. I could not believe how big they were in the waist and seat. Needless to say, they promptly were returned. I often buy ... & pants from The Gap and figured being sister stores the cuts would be the same, but needless to say they are not. Too bad because they are really cute.

Boot Cut Jeans Great Buy!What a great buy on these jeans. My daughter rides horses and its hard to find jeans that are boot cut and Not low waisted. These are perfect. Very true to size. We love them and don't have to worry about a plumber's crack!! They sit right at the hip, the tabs are perfect for growing ... We don't wear anything else.

too big!actually bought these in store for my daughter for Christmas and they ended up being HUGE. She is a very stocky 65 lb 6 year old. She is wearing a size 10 in other brands and wore a size 8 in Old Navy shorts this last summer so I figured a 10 would work. So I will be returning these in store for 8's instead. So order down a size. Besides running large they seem like great quality and I like the colors. It would be helpful for my daughter if they snapped rather than button closed. Over all, once you get the right size, these seem great.
BigThese jeans were cut rather big in the inseam and waist area. Even with a built in waist adjuster had to return them because they would not stay up. But then went back to store to try a few more on and everyone of these jeans fit differently. Some were too tight and others big. Old Navy needs to get a more standard, dependable jean size. Do not order these jeans online go to the store and try them on. I tried over 10 pairs on and found one that fit. Old Navy needs to start making things in America and get a better quality control manager.
Too Long!What the heck Old Navy? My kid needs a little extra room in the waist/hips not length in the legs. That's called a LONG not a PLUS. Sticking with Gap for plus size jeans - well worth the extra cost if they actually fit. I gave 2 stars becasue I actually really like the stle of the jeans - they were cute - wish they had fit.
Terrible fit this yearI always buy my daughter's jeans from ON. Last year she was in a 6 but by spring they were starting to get a little too short. This year I bought six pairs of 7 slim. I bought slim because she is really skinny. Brought them home and washed them and put them away. This week it is starting to turn cold so I got them down out of the closet and handed her a pair to put on. The waist fits AWESOME! Don't even need to adjust it. That's where the awesome ends though. They are about 4 inches too long. I came back to look at the size chart and see where I went wrong and that's when I noticed that every size cover 2 inches of height. Except size 7. It covers 4 inches. Why?? So I guess we will be going elsewhere for her jeans this year since according to what I have found she will need a size 6X.
Fits more like a skinny jeanThese look of the jeans is nice, but the fit is not what I would call boot cut. They are much more like a skinny jean. My daughter is average size, ant the jeans are fitted through the thighs, and narrow all the way down. The opening at the bottom is also very narrow.
Too longMy daughter is 7, and has always up untill this year, wore the size number of her age. Well, not this year. I exchanged all of her jeans this year, including these ones. I couldn't believe how long they were. And they are all different. One pair of whatever size is so different from the other. I am waiting on this package now, even though I ordered them on the 27th, got 3-5 day shipping. It will not be here until the day before school. Next year, I take my kids shopping. Also, ON and every other store out there needs to start making these clothes here, in AMERICA. TY

Nice fit & qualityI bought these for my daughter, who has a hard time finding jeans that fit (too long, too tight in the hips, etc). These fit great (plus size) and I have never had any trouble with the quality of Old Navy jeans - I've been buying them for my 2 ... years.

Im at a lossI've purchased several pairs of old navy jeans for my 5 year old both online and in the store and ill have to say the ... so inconsistant its ridiculous! She is a little tall and slender so I ordered her a 6 slim in the darling dark wash skinny jeans and they fit her perfectly, these jeans in the same size were so "slim" we couldnt button them. I returned them and got a 6reg and they are way too big in the waist and hips, even with the adjustable waist tightened. Size 5's are too short on her. There is a big difference in the lenths between ... 5 and 6 which doesnt make sense because kids dont grow 3 inches at a time. They are great jeans as far as quality, price, and over all cuteness. My advice is to try them on in the store if possible.

My ... really thin and tall 7yr olds and normally wear size 6. I am disappointed ON will no longer allow online purchases be exchanged for store merchandised in the same style just different size. ordered a size 8 regular- and my daughter is average size for a 7 year old. - they were HUGE - even with the adjustable waist we still needed a belt and had to cuff them up 2 times.
Not enough stretchyou may want to keep in mind the fabric info because i got my daughter 3 or 4 pairs of skinny jeans in the same size but these did not fit at all and the other two did, it was all about what they were made of, these had no stretch at all.
I would call these super skinnyUnless your daughter is extremely thin, I would say these are super skinny. My daughter was able to get the on, but for a 9 yr old its just too much to have her uncomfortable all day in jeans that are cutting off her circulation. ... extremely inconsistent too. On the plus side, they looked well made.

cute jeansI have 2 daughters and I ordered 2 pairs of these jeans. The slim fit version works perfect for my slim 13 year old and she loves them. I ordered the regular fit for my 11 year old, who has an average build and I had to return them because the fit was still slim. After ordering the 'plus' size the fit was great. So, if you have a true plus size child, these jeans won't fit. The plus size is an average cut in reality. Old Navy jeans always are made small, for slender folks; or atleast that has been my experience. But I do love their jeans
Great JeansI like buying my jeans from Old Navy's ... because they fit me very well. I am short and the Women's Jeans tend to be too long for me, so I end up buying my pants in the ... ssection and I am happy to say that I will continue to buy from Old Navy. I wish the store would continue to carry Size 16 ... plus size. I hope this helps any one who is short like me.
good fit for my plus size daughterThe flare style seems to have more room and the plus size is a good fit for my not ultra-skinny daughter. Love those adjustable waists!!
Daughter''s Favorite JeansMy daughter has been wearing the Old Navy Flared jeans since she was in a size 2T and they are the only jeans that will cinch tight enough in the waist to stay up on her petite frame. She is 6yrs old now so my only wish is that they sold the size 5 and larger in store as well as online, but regardless have had WONDERFUL experience's with Old Navy Online so it works out.
Love the color of the jeans!This is just what I was looking for, I just wish they fit more like the other styles of ON jeans in size 8. The size 8 in the flares runs big and alot longer so you might want to go down a size. Still big and long after washing and drying....
Good jeansBought on sale, laundered twice, so far so good. Love the adjustable waist. She's got a 28-inch inseam so the size 12 regular fits great. Great basic jeans with stretch.
inseamI like to buy your jeans because I can order them in slim for my ... wish you would post an inseam length for them because I have a hard time getting the right length for them. The size 5 was way too short, the sze 6 drags on the ground. I expect some shrinkage and too long is better than too short [...]
HUGE.I purchased these flare jeans in a size 12 for my daughter. I also purcahsed a pair of the skinny jeans for her in the same size. There is no comparison in size. The skinny jeans are a little long, but she is swimming in these flare jeans. They are a nice color & style,but they are huge. So big that I don't even see her growing into them in the next 2 years. Maybe a slim cut would fit more like a regular? But we shop Old Navy online, so not taking a chance. Sending these back.
Not relaxed thigh fitFirst off, I ordered these jeans for my daughter because ON ships to APO (THANK YOU OLD NAVY!!!). I read all the reviews and descriptions and was a little disapointd when they weren't "relaxed" like it said. The waist and length would have been great but they weren't relaxed enough in the thigh. My daughter is not a "plus" but not a "slim". I felt these fit more on the slim side. I had to send them back. If it wasn't for them being too slim they would have been perfect. Good quality and price. I'll keep trying.
Way too big!I purchased these jeans along with 2 other styles of jeans in my daughter's normal size of 14R. These jeans were huge on her! They were way too long and the waist was so big, not even the adjustable tabs helped. The other 2 styles of jeans fit her perfectly, as expected. I would like to have her try on a size 12R, but I do not think this style is sold in stores. I would recommend buying a size down from your child's normal ON size. Otherwise, they were a cute style and my daughter really liked the color.
love style but hard to exchangei bought numerous jeans in same size but different styles. When i went to exchange the flare jeans they said i could only do online. what an inconvenience. i didnt know i had to be careful of what items i purchased online with old navy.

Perfect!I am 5'2", 18 years old, and a pear shape. I wear size 4 jeans normally, but I have a long torso and need petite pants/jeans. Adult petite bottoms are generally made for 5"4" people, and they are still much too long on me. I purchased size 12 plus Old Navy kids jeans (these), and the length and fit is just perfect! They are very comfortable, and I got them for about 10 dollars which is a huge discount from the $80 I had been paying previously (approximately) for jeans. I will definitely be coming back to Old Navy kids for jeans and pants in the future. Thanks!
Easy FitTrue to size. Very comfortable with just the right amount of spandex for stretch.
Good basic pairThere's a huge jump from size 5T to ... 5. So just beware when you need to make that transition. The length is super long and my daughter is even really tall, so we roll them up for now. They still look cute rolled. The wash is nice and dark. They're a good basic bootcut jean. My daughter prefers leggings and tights but did said these jeans were really comfy.
Just what I''ve been looking for!My daughter had a major growth spurt in a period of about 4 months. I had purchased her these jeans in a regular size and then in fall she couldn't get in them anymore. I found the plus ... exactly what she needed~ roomy in the butt and thighs. I love that ON gives you options as plus is very hard to find.
Size changesLast yr my 11yr old daughter wore old navy jeans, size 12. All of them are now too short and too tight, as expected. This year we ordered several pairs and styles in size 14. They were all swimming on her. We tried this years size 12s and they fit perfectly. Beware of ... changes from year to year! Can't beat the [$] back to school price deal though.
Waaay too long!My daughter is an average size almost-6-year old, so I bought these in a size 6. They are extremely long, and even with the elastic band at its biggest width, they were almost too tight. These jeans must be designed for future basketball players or would be twig size models. I'd send them back, but I have a younger daughter who can wear them if I hem them up.
These ran huge! Nice, but ... way off compared to last year! I bought my very tall 11 year old a size 14 because 12's from last year are not going to fit much longer. A friend had given my daughter her old size 14 Old Navy jeans and they were a bit big, but not huge, they work & she is growing fast. I decided to order a 14 in the same cut and style and the ... size 14 literally fit me, the mom, buttoned and zippered with ease! My daughter was cracking up, they are huge, huge! The waste is inches bigger than last year and the length, I am 5'7" and they literally fit me perfect! I am not sure if they are trying to make the larger children feel better by adjusting ... if this was a mistake, but it makes it really hard to order clothes on line. Maybe ... needs to just continue to go up to higher numbers instead of adjusting all ... Jeans should be a bit more consistent! Other than that, if we figure out what size will work we do like the jeans. This is more than just one size difference
Very slim thighMy daughter is a regular size 12. I ordered two different styles of jeans in this size. The lighter color jeans fit great, but these dark ones were far too tight on the thigh. I took them back to the shop and tried on a 12 plus but they were huge on her. She is definitely only a regular but if your kids have any muscle on their thighs, do not buy these particular cut jeans.
TOO SHORT!I bought these jeans for my 8-year old daughter who wears an 8 regular. Old Navy jeans are usually the perfect fit for her. She loves this style so much that I was buying these as a second pair. The day these arrived, she happened to be wearing her other pair like these--they are the exact same jeans in the exact same size. This pair was at least 3-4 inches shorter in length than the ones she was wearing. She looked ridiculous to say the least. OLD NAVY GET YOUR ... RIGHT!
old navy pants biteit doesn't matter what you do and how many pants you try on ... womens) there is zero consistency....ZERO! after trying on 20 plus pairs of pants we found 3 that almost didn't suck. and they were in 3 different ... wish that when you tried on a size it fit no matter what color (within the same style). heck it would be nice if the the same color in the same style fit the same everytime. so my recommendation is...never buy pants without trying every single pair on...unless you like making returns.
WAY too long!I bought these for my 5 year old in a size 6. She is in the 90th percentile for her height. I don't know who is making these jeans, but they are WAAAAAAY too long! There was at least 5-6 inches of extra material at the bottom, which would have looked ridiculous if you tried to roll them up. I ended up returning them. When I told the cashier at the store why, she held them up to herself, and they were almost the perfect length for HER - a 20-something ... 5'4! We've been buying Old Navy jeans for my daughter since she was a toddler and never had this problem. I don't know if they changed manufacturers or what, but be prepared to have several inches of extra material to deal with if you buy these jeans.
