perfect
My daughter loved this shirt so much she wanted to wear it again the next day of school. Luckily we bought the 4 pack!!

good for school...but..
they fit my ... perfectly. But my older daughter says the sleeves are tight. The sleeves are high and close to the shoulder and which caused it to be tight. I clipped the inside of the sleeve to give her some room and they are fine. i actually got her the boy's version of this shirt at the store because I couldn't find the girl's at the time. it's the same exact shirt however the sleeves are longer...more near mid arm to elbow and that's much better for her. so if yiou have a girl with athletic type arm then then sleeves will be tight. my other daughter is smaller and is a dancer so shirt was perfect for her.

I've gotten these every year since granddaughter started school with uniforms. They are very durable and shrink very little.

mix up in packaging
Love these shirts for school! Unfornately, in the 4 pack, 2 were S (that I ordered) but 2 were xS (on the label the "5" can apparently be missread as a "S"). Now all sold out. Anyone want some xS shirts. Booooo!

Frustrated!
I ordered the 4pk in 2 different sized XS and S so I could try them on my daughter. I was sent two packages of XS and the shipping reciept said one in each size. I called customer service and they said they would ship out the correct size, return the wrong ones to a store. I waited about a week and got my new package, same thing..XS! I called again and was told I would get a call within 48hrs because there might be something going on in the distribution center. I told the rep that I needed the shirts within 4 days because my daughter would be starting school that Tuesday. (Dress code changed and we only had 2 wks notice.) He said that someone would call within 48hrs to discuss shipping options. I figured I would at least try the XS on my daughter. When I opened the package, I was suprised to find that the two white shirts were size XS and the two navy were size S. I called customer serivce again to let them know of the error and the lady was suprised at all the errors that have happened with my order alone. She said she would document in my account what happened and when I get my 48hr phone call they would be able to see them. She also said that she will email me a discount coupon. I rated the product 3 stars however as far as shipping/packaging etc...definately in the negative category. It has been 4 days and I am still waiting on my phone call. I do appretiate the discount email however I was tempted to inquire about a "we're so sorry for the many inconveniences" store/online credit. The only thing positive that came out of this fiasco is that I was able to try both sizes on my daughter however she now only has one color shirt that she able to wear. This was my first time ordering for Old Navy online and as of right now, this may well be the last.

You get what you pay for
These shirts are a bit thin and will likely need undershirts worn underneath, but since they were so inexpesive I'm not surprised that the quality is a bit low. They'll be perfect for school and I won't mind as much when they get stained with paint and ink and general wear...

My 5 year old needed this type of biker short for under dresses, school uniforms, sports uniforms, etc and these are just PERFECT!! I bought 3 pairs since ON does not sell them consistently. If they come back, buy a couple pairs! They fit like a true biker short - short and tight.

I have bought these every year since 2009...disappointed you are out of stock on the blue/navy color....would love to have them before school starts..... please.....These shorts are very versatile, extremely comfortable, durable & rather affordable. My daughters use them for school - to wear under their ... skirts, for exercise - tumbling class, and for dance classes - super easy to slip on when quick changes are required between ballet & jazz class & definitely cheaper than purchasing at a dance store. My ... wear them so much, frequent washing obviously fades them but for the price and the quality of the product, I don't mind buying them every year. Truly a great buy!!

Perfect for under uniforms!
Purchased some of these in the dark blue because white was out of stock in the size I needed. Needed something for my 5 year old to wear under her school ... jumper and these fit the bill perfectly. I looked at other stores before but they wanted $16 per pair! These were the right price and just what I needed. I will be ordering more!

My daughter has just entered that age (6) where she would be *horrified* to have her undergarments showing...and that has limited her ability to wear even longer length skirts to school, since the play yard is anything but ladylike, and circle time requires sitting with legs crossed...I saw these and thought, oh...this will work! Right out of the package, she was thrilled that ~YEA~ no one will see her underwear. (That's a quote.) The world will continue to turn, birds will sing sweetly, and mother has one less headache. Thank you, Old Navy...and while we're at it, how about more color options. The black was a major score... PLEASE KEEP THE BLACK. (I was too late for the pink in XS) Some bold leopard, stripe, or seasonally fun - but not "underwear" looking - prints would be cool, too. Can't have it looking like underwear, though, or I'm back where I started. ;) _________________As a note about fit, my daughter is quite slim...barely 40 lbs at 6.5 years but 44 inches tall. I ordered the XS and they fit perfectly. After laundering, the waist on these measure 19 inches, with some additional stretch to around 21. The leg openings are a touch loose, but I would not want them much tighter since these are effectively tap pants and it is 100 degrees outside. If she were a true little girl's size 6, these might have been too small.

Perfect for school uniforms
We bought these for my girls to wear under their school ... dresses, and skirts that don't have built in skorts. They're perfect. We do wear a size smaller than we'd normally buy, but both of my girls have very tiny waists, so that happens to us frequently, even with other brands.

Best shorts ever!
Bought these for my 7 year old to wear under the school ... they are GREAT! True to size, thin enough to wear comfortably underneath the ... without bulking or making her hot, short enough that it doesn't show under skirt, they stretch so she's not uncomfortable or tight. I bought 2 pink ones as a test run and will be ordering more to cover us for the entire school year. Great buy!

I bought 4 pair 2 whites and 2 blacks for my 2 girls. They will be using them to put under their dresses and be covered. They looked good and I can wait for the ... try them on. They will move freely and play while they have their dresses and skirts on.

Perfect for under skirts!
My daughter needed bike shorts for under costumes for her school play and the price on these was great. They are a thinner material and very stretchy. She normally wears a size 16 but we bought the large in these (a size 14). They are pretty short so good for underneath other clothing. If she was going to wear these out and about, I'd definitely want them to be longer.

Love these!
After much searching, I've finally found the perfect shorts for under my daughters' skirts, dresses, and school uniforms. They don't appear to be super durable, but are short and form fitting, which is perfect.

Perfect for the summer under skirts and dresses. I have two girls constantly wearing skirts (9 year old wears ... school and 7 year old loves dresses) and have been looking for basic short shorts to wear for the warmer weather...and Old Navy had the perfect pairs! 9-10 size works well for both girls. Doesn't shrink much in wash. thin and basic. Bought pink, navy blue, as well. Would've got more colors, but the sizes I needed were sold out.

Runs Small!
These shorts run very small. They are more like underwear than shorts. I bought them for my daughter to wear under her school jumper ... warmer weather. She is a very thin, small girl and the xs 4/5 looked more like something a 2 year old or younger could wear. Order several sizes up!
