Perfect ...
These ... my 7 year old perfect. They are true to ... according to Old Navy's size chart. Other store's clothes my daughter can be to big for a 7 and to small for an 8 so it was nice to find a store that was just right and true to size.

Great jean, but...
I got these in a 7 ... my daughter. She is not extremely skinny but ... these days seem so big for kids' waists. So I got the ... thank goodness the had the adjustable waist bands because they still had a huge gap in the back. I think ... should have smaller waists because like I said my daughter seems more average looking than what I would think of as a ... plus they need slims in larger sizes they are always out.

Too skinny!
My daughter is 11 but we always buy a size up because she is taller than average. She is also of a ... built but.... These ... were extremely tight, she was barely able to breathe after she put them on which was surprising because we've never had issues with Gap or Old navy clothes. The ... very well made and attractive but they are too skinny.

Buyer Beware!
My daughter tried these ... store and loved them. They came with a notice that the dye may rub off, but that is an understatement. They left big black streaks under the eating bar in my kitchen from where my daughter's knees rubbed against the drywall. I washed them in the laundry sink half a dozen times trying to pull out some of the excess dye over the course of a day, but the water still turned black and they still trashed the clothes that were in the dryer with them. I usually have good luck with Old Navy ... but I'll never buy dark ... them again.

I just purchased these for my daughter during the back to school sale, and I'm glad I did. My daughter is tall but verry skinny, and runs between a 6 and a 7, so I was torn about sizing. I went with the 6 SLIM, and am really happy with the fit. The length seems to be on the longer side of 6's, which is perfect for her, and the slim fit so well I don't even need to tighten the elastic insets.

They have been washed a couple times and have not shown any shrinkage so far. I love to have finally found jeans to fit my very slim princess.

Perfect for slim kids
The slim style jeans through Old Navy are the only jeans our daughters will wear! They are a perfect fit for really petite kids who are all legs and no waist! Would highly recommend them for others to try as they are comfortable, stylish, and priced fairly. I do wish they would bring back slim fits in the lower sizes as well such as they had with 5T because our youngest is also tall and thin and very difficult to buy decent fitting jeans for.

Quality Control Issues
My daughter has gotten these before and loved them. This time we got the lighter wash and I think they were mislabled because they were definitely not slim. They were almost big enough for me; way too big for my slim 10 year old daughter.

Slim to be or not to be
16 regular was only offered and tried them on oldest granddaughter. She always takes a slim but we tried anyway. Have to take them back to store for exchange. Wished you had more 16 slims to offer. The 10 slims ordered for another granddaugther was perfect. Thanks

Confused about size comparison
I was certain that these would be perfect since my daughter has another pair with the same description details...relaxed through hip and thigh. These were way too tight which makes no sense since she has another pair the same size that are described as low rise and slim through the thighs that fit just fine! I love the quality and style of Old Navy but from my experience the jeans sizes really vary by style so it's hit or miss.

waste too high
The jeans are made for more of a slim fit; even when the regular fit is purchased. The waste is very high; which no young girl wants these days. I returned these jeans, tried another size and had the same results.

They are ... alright...
My daughter is on the cusp of fitting into ... sizes, she waivers and usually would be better off with a 5T. Unfortunately, she is almost seven and hates the idea of wearing TODDLER CLOTHES! These ... cute and durable and I like the wash, as it doesn't have those striations or lines or whisker (ugh), like so many dark washes do. I wish they made a 5 ... but, overall, I couldn't be happier!

It's hard to find skinny ... just right especially for kids. My daughter is tall for her age so finding ... fit are hard to find. The waist was a little too big but that's because she has a small waist. The inner tabs on the inside took care of that. I'm very satisfied overall with Old Navy's clothes.

My Favorite
I bought these jeans for my daughter. They are the best pair of jeans she got from old navy this year. She they fit great, and the color is nice. They are in the slim size, and they fit perfectly. They also have the elastic with the buttons on the inside, so that they can be tightened at the waist to fit.

Perfect fit!
My son has no hips and is slim. These slim cut jeans plus the adjustable waist is a must. We got several pairs since they fit him so well. This is a staple for us in his school clothes.

My daughters are both very slim, and we have trouble finding jeans that not only fit in the waist but through the rear end and legs... these jeans are the perfect slim cut jeans! They fit everywhere they are suppose to w/o cutting into areas they shouldn't. The adjustable waist allows for the perfect fit while the slim cut keeps you from having to bunch up the waist. I bought 6 pairs, and we are thrilled w/ them.

Great Classic
My 12 year old is tall and trim but not trim enought to wear slim jeans. Great to be able to find jeans for her that have the adjustable waist. She need the 16 for the length, but does not have a 16 waistline so it's nice to be able to adjust it a little for a perfect fit! Great price too!!!

These are a slim girl's best friend! My slender 7 yr old has always had baggy legged jeans because even with an adjustable waist, the legs and seat are still huge. These are "slim" all over...not just the waist! She loves them! We bought one to try them out, and then went back to get two more pairs. Thanks ON!

The best fitting jeans for my daughter.
My 9 year old is skinny and long legged. We have yet to find jeans that fit her as well as ON's jeans. I buy the slim fit ones and along with the adjustable elastic on the inside it is the perfect fit for her. These jeans were the color and style that they appeared to be online.

Tight pair of jeans
These are REALLY slim & my daughter's pretty skinny. She complained about how tight they felt in the thigh area. They fit everywhere else, so it wasn't a matter of them being too small in size. If your child likes really tight jeans, these ARE cute. But we ended up opting for regular fit instead of slim.

Terrible fit this year
I always buy my daughter's jeans from ON. Last year she was in a 6 but by spring they were starting to get a little too short. This year I bought six pairs of 7 slim. I bought slim because she is really skinny. Brought them home and washed them and put them away. This week it is starting to turn cold so I got them down out of the closet and handed her a pair to put on. The waist fits AWESOME! Don't even need to adjust it. That's where the awesome ends though. They are about 4 inches too long. I came back to look at the size chart and see where I went wrong and that's when I noticed that every size cover 2 inches of height. Except size 7. It covers 4 inches. Why?? So I guess we will be going elsewhere for her jeans this year since according to what I have found she will need a size 6X.

great for tall, thin ...
Was not expecting to love these pants as much as we do! In the past have only bought 2 pairs of Gap's pants that would last throughout the year (lots of skirts were worn;), this year however, my ... (6 years-7 slim and 8 years-8 slim but about to outgrow length) wanted to wear pants more and halfway through the year wore holes throughout them! Couldn't bring myself to spend $30+ on uniform pants, so thought we'd try these. So glad I did! They fit my tall and skinny ... wonderfully! Still have to cinch the waist on the slims alot, but we have to with most pants anyhow. They have a slimmer profile than Gap's that we all love and look great on. The material is soft, feels nice and has washed wonderfully. And the price is great. Will be buying these next year for sure.

I bought the pants online after visiting one of the stores and discovering that the pants were no longer available, however one of the sales ... suggested I go online instead. My daughter and I were shopping for back to school clothes and uniforms are mandatory where we live. I suppose a lot of the ... got the same pants at Old Navy and the supply was short. Having 3 13 year olds in Catholic school can be daunting. Trying to adhere to the uniform code but still find clothes that will fit, are affordable and are considered "cool" is nearly impossible. My ... rather slim and most uniform pants are too big in the legs and waist. Many other pants have riviets which aren't allowed in the uniform code. Of course many are just considered "too ugly" or "weird" to be worn by junior high ... Old Navy pants have solved all these problems for us.

My ... lean and tall, and it was great to finally find a uniform pant that wasn't baggy and unflattering, or looked like "boy pants". I tried many brands and my ... never wanted to wear them to school because they were "ugly", so they would sit in the closet. Now on cold days, they are asking to wear their pants! Just so so
I am a huge Old Navy shopper and love most everything I've ever gotten from the store. This is the first time I've shopped on line for any items. I ordered these pants because of all the reviews stating that they were longer in length and would be great for ... were long and lean, as my daughter is. I was disappointed that I had to stretch the elastic to the point, it bunched up and made the waist line very uncomfortable all day long for my daughter. The length just fit to the bottom of her ankle, I guess good enough, and I can roll them up as capris in the spring. I guess, lesson learned would be to go to the store and physically try clothes on. I wish stores would make clothes for ... tall and thin, or that just have long legs. I will continue to shop at Old Navy, I love the store!

I think your ... stretch twill uniform pants are very comfortable with very soft material. As my children have grown older (6yrs and 11yrs.) your uniform pants and jeans have become more tailored to the more thinner (at least throughout the upper thigh area) ... Plus sizes are too big for my children. Their upper thigh area is very muscular and therefore your clothes are too tight in that particular area. In the future I will most likely purchase my uniform and jeans at another deptartment store but I will continue to purchase "dress" clothes at Old Navy for my children.

Truly flattering in cut and style although I do still need to get them hemmed which is fine by me. I'm 5'2" in a 14 plus in these ... normally I range from a 26 & 27 in Paige or Sevens ... love the urban city chic style and wearing these ... slight folded up to my ankles with sexxy stilettos and ankle booties with these pairs. The first time I wore these pair all dressed up to go out with ... husband he said I looked very classy and exspensive. Haha I felt like a million dollars because these ... so cheap!! Terrible quality
Very disappointed with the merchandise. Both of my orders were poorly made. They looked like clothes you would purchase at a dollar store. Returned to the local Old Navy store. Why does the ... store look so much better than the items you purchase online. Oh yes, your customer service rep,did not follow through with his offer of a coupon for future purchase. Finally...jeans that fit!
My nine year old daughter, who is extremely slim, has struggled with jeans for years. We have never found jeans that fit the way these do. Finally, all aspects flatter her...the legs and rear don't bag, and the adjustable waist allows her to be ultimately comfortable. I purchased multiple pairs, I was so pleased with the fit.

I shop at Old Navy for all three of my chidren, I always buy the slim fit for my oldest daughter and my son, I was dissapointed to find that the slim fit only goes up to a size 12, I would like to see it go to a 16 like the plus size. It is very hard to find clothes for my 10 year old who is 5ft 5 and very slender. I am sure other people have the same problem with this transition size from childrens to adults.

I have a confession...I am a 29 year old woman but built very small. I can actually fit into ... sizes. Not only are the clothes cheaper than adults but they are cuter and fit better. These jeans were affordable, are comfortable and fit amazing.

I ordered these jeans for my 11 yr old , and she loves them! She is very slim, and we ordered the slim fit and still need use the adjustable waistband to make them fit around her waist, but they look great ! The ran true to size for her.

if you have a skinny minny get the slim fit
we ordered the regular skinny jeans online, but for my string bean of a 7 year old, the waist was just WAY too big. Returned them to the store where the clerk directed us toward the SLIM FIT skinny jeans. these are a perfect fit and look. if your child is average height and skinny, order the slim fit.

These jeans fit great! We went with the slim size and she loves them. The color seems long lasting too. They are not baggy nor are they tight.

My daughter is 5 years old but she's very tall and slim. I bought size 6 for her in this style but only last for couple of months because she grows so fast. So I decided to get one size bigger in slim and it fit her perfectly but still gives her extra lenght to grow. And it looks good too when she's wearing her favorite boots.

Slim & Regular Sizes Not Even Close...
These jeans are cute, but they seem impossible to get a good fit. For instance, my younger daughter swims in the 6 Regular, but can barely squeeze into the 6 Slim. Also, in the bigger ... sizes (12, 14, 16), the waist is way too big compared to the room in the thigh. They are made to fit a thick waisted girl with toothpick thin legs. I don't recommend these for most body types.

Im at a loss
I've purchased several pairs of old navy jeans for my 5 year old both online and in the store and ill have to say the sizing is so inconsistant its ridiculous! She is a little tall and slender so I ordered her a 6 slim in the darling dark wash skinny jeans and they fit her perfectly, these jeans in the same size were so "slim" we couldnt button them. I returned them and got a 6reg and they are way too big in the waist and hips, even with the adjustable waist tightened. Size 5's are too short on her. There is a big difference in the lenths between sizes 5 and 6 which doesnt make sense because kids dont grow 3 inches at a time. They are great jeans as far as quality, price, and over all cuteness. My advice is to try them on in the store if possible.

My daughter has 2 other pairs of (older) Old Navy 12 slim jeans, but this pair of 12 slims was SUPER tight - way smaller than any others we've had. We had to return them.

[*] The sizing is inconsistent. It seems that ... manufacturers expect customers to test the sizing for them these days. Are we supposed to have our favorite country of origin now as well as brand? I wish ON carried slims in their stores, so I could buy more deliberately and return fewer items, too. That said, the Indian pair looks wonderful on our tall, ... daughter and I like the adjustable waist feature! Great pricing, now if only you could be consistent in your sizing, it would be better value, too!

My grandaughter is a beautiful 10 year old. But doesn't feel that way most of the time due to hard to fit clothes. She is large framed, But not fat, so most plus sizes will fit in the waist then bag out every where eles.(when u can find them.) But these 10 1/2 Old Navy ... PERFECT. Great fit, poor fabric quality
I would give these a 5-star except for lack of durability. My daughter loves these ... dark wash, bootcut--the only slim cut/brand she says is comfortable to her, and we've tried almost everything out there. She is tall for her age and slim with a short torso. The ... seem to be put together well, but the denim used is cheap. I would feel better spending money on multiple pairs if ON would use denim that didn't wear thin after a couple months. She's been wearing ON ... since she has been walking and we just noticed the downhill quality when we moved to the ... sizing.

These ran huge! Nice, but sizing was way off compared to last year!
I bought my very tall 11 year old a size 14 because 12's from last year are not going to fit much longer. A friend had given my daughter her old size 14 Old Navy ... they were a bit big, but not huge, they work & she is growing fast. I decided to order a 14 in the same cut and style and the ... size 14 literally fit me, the mom, buttoned and zippered with ease! My daughter was cracking up, they are huge, huge! The waste is inches bigger than last year and the length, I am 5'7" and they literally fit me perfect! I am not sure if they are trying to make the larger children feel better by adjusting sizing or if this was a mistake, but it makes it really hard to order clothes on line. Maybe sizing needs to just continue to go up to higher numbers instead of adjusting all sizing. ... should be a bit more consistent! Other than that, if we figure out what size will work we do like the ... more than just one size difference

BEWARE: sizes have changed!!
After placing 4 online orders, i thought i would share with u what i learned. the sizes have changed from last year severely! my daughters pair of 10 flares from last year were too short, so i ordered the 12. holy cow, they were so long she was walking on at least 8 inches of fabric. so i placed another order and got the 10's. same thing, still too long. this is ridiculous, standing on at least 4-5 inches of fabric. so i thought ordering an 8 would be crazy, but was determined to get my daughter some ... fall. got the 8's and they were just right, touching the ground with no shoes and 1/2 inch from the floor with shoes. so beware, all the sizes have changed this time, found this true for the flare and bootcut, but mostly flare styles!! slims aren't as ... before either. sure wish they would help let us know that!!!

I have 2 daughters and I ordered 2 pairs of these ... slim fit version works perfect for my slim 13 year old and she loves them. I ordered the regular fit for my 11 year old, who has an average build and I had to return them because the fit was still slim. After ordering the 'plus' size the fit was great. I like buying my ... Old Navy's ... because they fit me very well. I am short and the Women's ... tend to be too long for me, so I end up buying my pants in the girl's ssection and I am happy to say that I will continue to buy from Old Navy. I wish the store would continue to carry Size 16 Girl's plus size. I hope this helps any one who is short like me.

I love ON for their quality ... fact that they offer different styles in Slim is perfect for my daughter. I love shopping ON on line since I live about 10 miles from the closest retail store and I often cannot find Slim sizes, so I save time & money!

truely slim
This pants are great for my daughter, they really are a slim so they actually fit her! The cut is nice so they actually stay up and she doesn't have to have a safety pin the back to really keep them up.

Perfect fit!
I bought these in a 10 slim for my tall and lean 8 year old daughter. They fit perfect from the waist to the ankle. I struggle to find ... narrow enough for her and these are perfect. I also bought the boot cut in a slim. The waist needs to be taken in for those but fit great everywhere else. Most slim adjustable waist ... still look huge on her. Not these and got a great price too.

I like to buy your ... because I can order them in slim for my ... wish you would post an inseam length for them because I have a hard time getting the right length for them. The size 5 was way too short, the sze 6 drags on the ground. I expect some shrinkage and too long is better than too short [...]

Not relaxed thigh fit
First off, I ordered these ... my daughter because ON ships to APO (THANK YOU OLD NAVY!!!). I read all the reviews and descriptions and was a little disapointd when they weren't "relaxed" like it said. The waist and length would have been great but they weren't relaxed enough in the thigh. My daughter is not a "plus" but not a "slim". I felt these fit more on the slim side. I had to send them back. If it wasn't for them being too slim they would have been perfect. Good quality and price. I'll keep trying.

my daughter is 5 and she is slim so there is that but that being said I tighted then all the way and they still fell off her. I feel like they fit more like a husky then a reg, and for some reason ON doesnt make a slim fit in a size 5. so they went back. If your ... more on the stocky side then maybe these would be great but if she is really slim beware!

poorly sized
These pants don't fit well. We consulted the size charts and ordered the 8 slim. There was nothing slim about them. We returned them to the store.
