Worked great for me. This white cotton ... shirt worked for me, but I can see how it might not work for those with more generous chests or smaller chests than me. (I'm a 36B with a tall torso and I got the tall medium.) I actually went ahead and had a buttonhole put up top and used this shirt as my interview shirt for several jobs. Like most cotton white ... very hard to keep this neat for multiple washings (10+) but the price is right and the weight of the fabric was good enough to make it a very good buy. After such a long time looking for a long enough white shirt, this was a great find. Most others I found were too expensive or a less classic cut & style. I bought three.
Great shirt with a few drawbacks This shirt is really flattering, especially if you're tall and hourglass/pear shaped like me. Just a few problems: there is very little stretch in this "stretch" ... shirt, and the buttons start a little low, so I always have to wear a camisole underneath.
Its okay Definitely order a size larger than you normally do. The shirt also needs an extra button, because if you have a bust then you are showing major cleavage. The shirt is comfy and is nice for work. I think the buttons should be place farther away from the edge of the shirt that way when you sit there are no "openings" in the shirt (the shirt isn't tight at all when I am standing, but like any shirt it gets tighter when you sit). Overall the shirt is okay for the price.
Almost perfect, but has two major flaws... I really want to give this shirt 5 stars- it’s a classic, has a flattering cut and it’s a perfect staple piece. And for some reason I have a hard time finding basic button downs without pockets or weird details, so I was soooo excited to find such a classic and simple basic. BUT- this shirt has two major flaws. First: it’s a little too thin; which is incredibly annoying because it requires you to wear some sort of seamless undershirt under it …unless you want your bra showing through (um, NO). So if you live in a warmer climate- this really sucks. (Plus on principle I find it annoying to buy a ... only to have to buy ANOTHER ... just to wear to first ... But I disgress...) Secondly- and more importantly- NO BUST ROOM. If you are above a B cup beware- this ... gaps like crazy. I also ordered a size up, which solved the gaping bust, but then the rest of the ... obviously too large. I ended up keeping the smaller size but had to have hidden snaps sewn in at the bust to prevent a peepshow. I don’t understand why button downs ALWAYS GAP. Arrg. You’d think clothing companies would have figured out by now how to place buttons more appropriately to prevent gappage.
Wrong Sizing I ordered 3 Women;s ... dress ... wear to work with my suits! I ordered the same size I wear in all Old Navy clothing...I could not even pull this shirt together and it was up to my waist! I feel someone made a mistake in the patterns...perhaps they were girls or juniors sizes...and they definitely were NOT stretch. Very disappointed...you should really check your inventory! I had to return them to the store.
Misleading Description The shirt was described as ... stretch" but there is no stretch to it at all.
