the only shorts for me!
I am a mom of two little active toddlers. They keep me hoppiing all day long and these shorts help keep me keep up with the fashion but I don't look like a teeny bop. They sit low on the waist (be sure to buy ... boxer short underwear) but they move with you. I always have to have my pants/shorts taken up in the waist so I don't know if anyone has a 'true' waist and I like the fact they they have flat pockets on the back so as not to emphasize my tush. Plus, I don't like bermuda shorts and the length feels appropriate to me for being a mommy (especially when I have to sit awkwardly with the kids). I bought three pair last year (khaki, white(never thought I would like to wear this color but I do!) and peach) I bought another khaki and black this year. The only bummer is that they aren't sold in stores - on line only :(. You can dress these shorts up (as dressy as it comes for shorts) or bum out! Very comfortable!!!!

The Perfect Length
I love these shorts! The length is perfect between the bermuda and 5" style, so these shorts look great on anyone that cannot pull off the short shorts or is a bit older. They are also great for anyone going out for a casual event where a mid length short is more appropriate. I truly wish they were available in stores and in the colors all other shorts are offered. Also, the basswood is already sold out in the small sizes and it is only early April! I hope ON restocks this classic short. It is a must have. I want more!

Great length
These are the perfect in between length for shorts. Finally! For so long it seemed like there were only super short shorts or long walking shorts. These are great. Great rise, too. Not too low, not too high. Perfect cut for shorts.

Love! Love!
Im short in stature (5' 1") and it's very hard to find "longer" shorts for someone my height. Typically when purchasing shorts they are normally tailored for women who are taller. Which result in shorts not fitting/looking presentable. These shorts are a perfect fit for those women who find it hard to wear age appropriate shorts. This is a great find and great new addition to summer wardrobe. A must have for all types of occasions. An additional plus is it makes your thighs seem a bit slimmer. Thanks Old Navy!

Great shorts!
These are really great shorts. I needed some that were decent enough for church activities but not "mom shorts". I am 33 years old, 5'6, 119 pounds. The size 4 is a perfect fit. These hit about mid thigh on me. I do have long legs. I also love the 5" short but that would be a little short for church activities. These have a nice low rise fit. They're not baggy anywhere but aren't tight either. They are very comfortable. One problem I have with shorts is that usually the crotch area is too short which makes them uncomfortable. I can't wear Loft shorts because of that. These are a perfect fit. I could bend over without worry about my booty or any cellulite showing :) Highly recommended. The only clothing I buy from Old Navy are the shorts and the denim skirts. They are the best quality items the company makes.

These shorts are great! I bought two pairs back in 2009, and have not purchased another since, until this year. These shorts are durable, cute, and can be used in a variety of ways. They are also quite comfy, a bonus perk! They can be used as casual shorts, or you could even wear them to work with a cute blouse! I am 5'0 tall and these shorts are the perfect length for me!

PERFECT SHORTS!!!!
I'm a 38 year old stay at home mom of three, proud to say in good shape after three children and do not mind showing a little leg. However the only style of shorts out there these days are daisy duke length or burmuda's. Daisy duke's are, in my opinion, way too short for a mom of three, and bermuda's seem so long. Up until now I always cut off old jeans in the same length as these shorts, so I always had strings hanging from my shorts. When I saw the other reviews of these shorts, I was excited to finally find real shorts in the length I liked, so I ordered one in each color. As soon as I put them on, I fell in love with them. They are perfect for mom's like me and I am so grateful that somebody finally came up with a decent length pair of shorts!

Good shorts, iffy sizing
ON's 'perfect khaki' line of shorts is really great quality at a great price (despite the heavy duty zipper). I purchased these 7" shorts in a size 12, since the 5" shorts in a size 14 seemed too big... The longer shorts (held side by side the shorter ones) seem to be the exact same length! Also, the size 12s seem much tighter than expected (especially since the 14s were swimming on me). The peachy color is slightly pink, and it is not at all forgiving. If you're like me and have a problem with your belly, you'll have to either size up or wear a long shirt. Cute shorts, but if you're curvy, just keep the sizing issue in mind.

Almost perfect
I guess no one else is bothered by this, but the rise is very low on these shorts. I'm 5' so It never would occur to me not to buy petite in a pant/short. The shorts in 12P (I usually take a 14 but ON consistently runs big) fit well but are nearly hip huggers. I'm a middle aged woman with enough of a belly that I like it to be contained in my pants. I just bought the 12 regulars and find the rise perfect for me (just under the belly button - not old lady high.) I know that low rise is the stye today, which does make it easier for short people like me to find pants that fit, but it seems an odd cut for shorts that seem to me to be designed for soccer moms. In the right size I truly love these shorts, but people should know they're low rise.

One size should fit the same
I ordered 3 pairs of these shorts in a size 14...black, grey and khaki. The black shorts fit amazing. Perfect in the butt, comfortable in the thighs, a smidgen loose in the waist, but being a pear shape I'm used to that. The length of these shorts are exactly what I was looking for. However, when I tried on the grey and khaki shorts the waist was perfect and everything else was TIGHT. Hips, thighs, butt...it was like I'd ordered a size smaller. Very frustrating after the black ones fit so great! Also, not a fan of the pocket placement as they like to gap open on the hips. Still, the black shorts have become my favorite as great shorts for a pear shape are difficult to find.

Sized too big
I was really hoping these shorts would work, especially since you can't buy the 7" in the store. I was disappointed when they came and had to return them. I am 5'4, 115lb and used to be a solid size 4 in Old Navy. They must have changed their sizing on these shorts, because now a 4 is way too big and a 2 is a ltitle too small, unfortunately. Also, while the 7" is nicer to have more coverage, it almost seemed a little TOO long. It looked like the shorts almost flared out from the hips a bit, creating a wider short leg than I was hoping for. Overall, I really wish these would have worked out, but I guess I'm still on the search for shorts this summer.
