straight leg jeans for women - reviews

Pretty Good Go To JeanI usually get the Diva Skinny size 14 Long (I am 5'11" and 200lbs) in the stores about 2x a year. They are pretty true to size (Unlike the "Sweetheart" ... which usually run bigger/curvier) and I don't need to try them on because I've been getting them for the past 3 years. They are not a true "SKINNY" though. The bottom leg opening is kind of like straight leg (not tight around the ankle) so they don't always work while wearing boots in the winter but look cute while wearing flats (I rarely wear heels). When I wear boots with ... mostly wear my "Flirt" style ... because they fit more lean.

Love these ... I was hesitant to buy because these are "skinny ... Typically I only purchase straight ... just because the "skinny" style isn't usually comfortable for me, but these are great! If you're looking for a true skinny jean, look elsewhere. I would definitely say that these are closer to straight than skinny, but that's what I was looking for! They do stretch out some with wear...not to the point that they're falling down, though. They just loosen up some. These are great ... Bought them in the black and I am definitely going to buy another pair in the dark blue or the rinse color.

Not a skinny jeanI love the Diva ... so I was excited about these. I love the Rinse color. The ... were at least a size too big and were more of a straight leg jean. I will be returning them for a smaller size. Not sure if they are skinny enough to tuck into boots, but I liked them enough to wear as a straight jean.

Not exactly a skinny in my size, but love these, nonetheless!Recently, I've gotten two pairs of these ... overall, I LOVE them. During the sale on ... decided to try on all the different styles and I loved these from the time I put them on. I'm usually a consistent size 20 in both ON and Gap ... these were true to my size. There was a tiny bit of gap in the back of the ... but it wasn't a deal breaker. As usual, which is my big flaw with ... legs fit well and were flattering, but the leg opening was more like a skinny straight, and not a true skinny leg. For a true skinny leg though, I think I'll try the denim leggings. At 5'5", the regular inseam was just a tad long, but I like to roll up the bottoms and wear them with cute flats or sandals. I wear these with everything because they're so comfortable and flattering! Overall, an awesome pair of ... add to your wardrobe.

perfect skinny ... what i really wanted was straight leg ... but old navy does not have straight leg ... so i tried the skinny ... knowing i might have to return them if they were too skinny: i'm not a young girl who wants to wear skin tight ... but, surprise!! these "skinny" ... perfect!! they're really more like straight leg ... - i love them. and the price can't be beat.

Decent for the priceI really like these ... bought them in the "Rinse" color and it is a good dark wash. Looks 4x more expensive than the [$] I paid for them. They have a good stiching as well, the back pockets look almost identical to my Banana Republic ... only downfall is the leg is not a true skinny. It's more of a straight leg. It doesn't bother me too much as I can just cuff them since I bought them to wear with my boots anyway. Also, I would advise going a size down. I'm usually a size 10 in ON pants and I bought the 8 in these. They are a bit snug in the waist when I first put them on but it does stretch out some during the day. All in all, a pretty good pair of ... price.

Not so skinny ... A petite, hourglass shape (smaller waist, fuller hips), I ordered these ... two sizes to see which fit best. I have been wearing the low cut Diva fit for years. These are fairly true to the Diva style although I believe the hips are cut narrower than they used to be. Anyway, I ordered a 14S and a 16P to compare. The 14S was a snug fit on the waist and the length of the leg was perfect. The 16P had a more comfortably loose waist, but the legs were wayyyy too long. Petite? Really? I like my ... looser, but I kept the 14S because the leg was right. Sometimes they still feel a bit snug at the waist. Having said that, I have worn them about 4 times now, and each time I wear them, I can feel them giving more and loosening a bit. I have noticed that this happens with ON ... also why I am giving them only 3 stars: the legs are not skinny. Although they started out feeling slim on the leg, the more I wear them, the pouchier they get on the thighs. I tried on some ON jeggings and they were too tight on the legs for my taste - not to mention beind unreliable in terms of size (every pair fits differently) - so I am not looking for skin tight, but these "skinny ... don't appear to keep their shape for long. They are more like a relaxed fit, straight leg. I docked one more star because they do that annoying "waistband gap" thing at the back (where it sticks out a few inches even though it fits fine on the rear). I tend not to wear a belt with these, so when I'm wearing a slimfit shirt, the waistband gap is kind of obvious and spoils any slimming effect from the silhouette. They do seem durable, though.

I like them!Good pair of skinny/straight ... like that they are not too tight on the lower leg, more of a straight leg than a super tight skinny jean. The back waistband gaps a bit, but I can live with that.

hm..I love the way these ... make your leg look. I especially like the leg opening. These skinny ... aren't those ridiculously skin tight ... see hipster [*] wearing, but rather they're the perfect median between that and straight legged ... problem I have with these ... rise isn't low at all. I wear American Eagle ... quite frequently and I love their rise and not so much their leg opening. SO if Old Navy and American Eagle combined, I feel you would have the perfect jean. I have short legs and these ... definitely make my legs look longer. HOWEVER, the denim isn't the best there is. They're not very breathable ... don't really know how to describe it...

As much as I want to keep these, they''re going back!I am really bummed about these ... wanted to keep them because they are a really nice material, but there are too much things that aren't right about them. They are NOT SKINNY ... these need to be called straight legged because if I were to keep them, I would have to have the leg from the calf down taken in an inch or two. I do not like straight leg ... prefer true skinny ones. Also, I am an hourglass and the back of the wait had a big gap. I ordered a size 14 (same size of all my other ON ... they were super tight in the thighs and big in the waist. Also, they kept rising up on my calves making an awkward crease.

These aren''t skinny ... These are a great straight leg jean, but they are in no way skinny ... They fit essentially like a boot cut or straight leg. I like the ... but I'm super disappointed in what I got. It's not what I was looking for at all.

straight leg jeans for women - reviews

As great as I was hoping :)I've had "Diva" jeans from Old Navy in the past, but they were skinny leg instead of boot cut. I ordered these hoping they would fit as great as the Diva Skinny Leg jeans I have and they do. :) I like them so much I ordered them in multiple colors! I would definitely reccomend these to my friends. -Katie B

Great fit, but I needed the extra leg length...These Diva Cut jeans are fantastic for people like me, who have a very "straight", boyish figure (i.e. no hips!) They fit superior to many others I've tried, which are either cut too generously in the hips, or else are very gappy in the waist. I did have to order the "long" length online, however, if I wanted to wear them with heels....(and I am only 5'2", so I can't even imagine WHO wears the regular or "short" version!)

My favorite ... I usually wear ON sweetheart ... but I have recently lost about 30 pounds, and I can wear slimmer ... now. I would usually wear a 10, but I ordered a 12 because most reviews said they were smaller than expected. They are fine when I put them on, but stretch if worn for more than about an hour. I need to wear a belt with them, but they look great! I am 5'4", and the regular length is fine. (they shrink in the dryer.) I love the slim fit through the hip and thigh without the skinny leg. They are perfect for me (a 14-year old who wears ... almost every day) These ... look great! :)

Diva is consistentWhile I wouldn't say these are my all time favorite jeans, for the price they are a solid pair of boot cuts! I got the lighter color this time in my standard size and they fit great. I'm 5'4" 128 and the 4 is perfect - I have a pretty straight body, minimal waist and not really any hips, so the slimness of this cut works pretty well for me. Length works with heels and the front rise is low while the back is a little higher so it prevents the pants from gaping & falling too much. I agree w/other reviewers, the material is a little thin but that's OK with me because they are comfortable & a little stretchy - given the rinse that I bought I'd say they will be one of my go to weekend jeans.

Great everyday jeans - albeit a tad boringThese fit me great - I have a fairly straight figure - waist that is not much smaller than my hipsl. If you are a 'hippy' person with a narrow waist, I would not expect these to work for you. They are super comfortable - I bought the tall size and they seem to be just right at about 34". Plenty of stretch. My only complaint is they are dull - pockets have nothing on them, boring color, etc., but I mainly got these for comfortable weekend wear - or casual 'jeans' day at the office.

Great surprise!I've been described as having a hourglass figure, with a well developed butt. (No, I'm not Jessica Alba or anything; definitely got some softer curves.) So I was worried about the Diva being for "straight" figures; that is NOT what I've got. However, my butt has never looked better! I got these in a 10L, though I usually wear an 8-10R, so I could wear them with heels for going out or Dankso clogs for work (I teach). They're perfect for either scenario, and look great with a button up and a vest or a tee. The pictures don't do these jeans justice. My only problem with them is that the waist is a little wide, so I have to wear a belt or pull the pair up.

Casual jeans for a nice priceI really like the fit of these jeans, more of a straight leg than a bootcut, and am so thankful for the tall length, but wish they came about an inch longer. They do stretch out, and have to be washed and machine dried after each wearing in order to fit again. Unfortunately, this fades the color quickly, which makes them look more casual than I would prefer. I got them on sale for about one third off, but I would rather pay a bit more if necessary, and have them be made of fabric that doesn't stretch out so much. Great style, great fit-- just improve the fabric, and add more dark colors, and grays. Thanks Old Navy!

Flattering fitJust bought these in rinse. Like the bootcut because it's straight not as flared as the flirt bootcut. The flirt fit a tad better in waist but these will be fine with a belt. I'm petite, 5'1 120lb with large thighs but these fit and look great. Size 8 short is good with heels. Also bought diva skinny. They fit nicely in hips, thighs, calves and better in waist than these. The bootcut is more flattering but the skinnies are the best I've found if you're short and athletic built. I love both!

Sooo happy I have Finally found a pair of jeans that fit me so well!!! Only gave 4 stars cause I Really WISH they were straight leg and not only boot cut, but a minor detail to deal with to have them fit so well everywhere else! I love them!!

Great look, but trouble with sizingI tend to wear size 4-6 depending on the cut of the jeans. With these boot cut jeans being a long and-lean cut with very little stretch, I would not recommend sizing down or the waist will be too tight (The Diva flared leg jean, however, is generously cut all over, warranting a smaller size; that previous experience threw me off here as an online purchaser). Other than that, the wash is a nice deep color, the cut of the legs is straight and flattering, and I really like how they hug the backside. Good for casual wear or a night out.

Diva Jeans...I bought the Rockstar slim jeans from ON and I loved them. I need some bootcut jeans and thought the Diva would be a great fit for my 5' 180lb figure. I have a straight waist but carry my weight in the tummy. So I got the 18 short. Thye were 4 inches too long and the length of the rise should be for a 5'8 tall woman. I guess I felt good they were too big. But I took them back to store and tried the 16 and couldn't get them past my hips...hhmmm oh well. Returned.

So I was worried about the Diva being for "straight" figures; that is NOT what I've got.

Returned.

straight leg jeans for women - reviews

My only complaint is they are dull - pockets have nothing on them, boring color, etc., but I mainly got these for comfortable weekend wear - or casual 'jeans' day at the office.

straight leg jeans for women - reviews
