the diva jeans - reviews
Love These Jeans!! I bought my first pair of the Diva skinny jeans in store and loved the fit of them. I wear a size 16 in ... these were true to size. Even though the fit around the bottom half of my legs is different from the Sweetheart skinny ... description of the Diva skinny ... says it has a 'tapered' leg meaning it's not as tight around the lower leg as the Sweetheart skinny ... which says in the descripton that they have a 'fitted' leg), I still love them. The material is more stretchy than the Sweetheart skinny ... contours to the shape of my thigh making it look tighter which is how I prefer my ... look. I don't like the look of loose ... all so this was perfect. So, to put it simply, it's tighter on the thigh but looser around the lower leg. If you're looking for skinny ... tighter or more fitted around the lower leg, buy the Sweetheart version. I bought 2 more pairs of the Diva skinny ... online in the cupeno and rinse colors. The cupeno (the lightest color) fit as expected but the color was not as light as it looks online, but they're still really cute. The rinse color (the darkest color) looked as expected but fit a little differently. They fit more like the Sweetheart skinny ... which isn't a bad thing, I just wasn't expecting it. Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase. I will definitely be buying more soon.
very different from the original i bought a pair of skinny jeans from ON a few years ago and i loved them. i kept wearing them so much that they recently ripped at the knees and became too raggy to wear to work so i came on here and ordered 2 pairs (in dark blue and in the "rinse" wash). they're almost two completely different pairs of pants...and neither are like the authentic ones i had purchased 2 years ago. you have to be really careful when purchasing these because the material is different. if you read closely you will realize that the dark blue is 98% cotton and 2% spandex which is VERY stretchy. i'm 5'1 and weigh 105 pounds so i got the 0 regular and it was SUPER loose. i like to get regular because i like the cuff the bottom up but these were so saggy on the butt and the thighs and waste and everything else they just didn't fit at all. the rinse on the other hand was a lot more true to the "authentic" ones i got a couple years ago. they're made of 87% cotton, 12% polyester, and 1% spandex which is a lot closer to the ones that i loved and bought 2 years ago made of 80% cotton, 19% polyester and 1% spandex. the difference between the dark blue and the "rinse" is so huge when it comes to the material, thus making the difference in fit even larger. the "rinse" fit me better and i wore them to work for 9 hours and they didn't stretch out or sag at all which was a relief. so i definitely recommend the "rinse" if you're looking for jeans that keep their form well. the only thing i didn't enjoy about the "rinse" was that the cut was slightly different from the "authentic" when it came to the calves. they definitely seemed a lot looser on the calves then the ones i had previously worn which clung to my legs. overall though, this cut is good for me because the waist is high enough where my butt is fully covered when i bend down and the pants are comfortable to wear for an extended period of time and not have to worry about stretch (at least in the "rinse" only).
Not so skinny ... A petite, hourglass shape (smaller waist, fuller hips), I ordered these ... two sizes to see which fit best. I have been wearing the low cut Diva fit for years. These are fairly true to the Diva style although I believe the hips are cut narrower than they used to be. Anyway, I ordered a 14S and a 16P to compare. The 14S was a snug fit on the waist and the length of the leg was perfect. The 16P had a more comfortably loose waist, but the legs were wayyyy too long. Petite? Really? I like my ... looser, but I kept the 14S because the leg was right. Sometimes they still feel a bit snug at the waist. Having said that, I have worn them about 4 times now, and each time I wear them, I can feel them giving more and loosening a bit. I have noticed that this happens with ON ... also why I am giving them only 3 stars: the legs are not skinny. Although they started out feeling slim on the leg, the more I wear them, the pouchier they get on the thighs. I tried on some ON jeggings and they were too tight on the legs for my taste - not to mention beind unreliable in terms of size (every pair fits differently) - so I am not looking for skin tight, but these "skinny ... don't appear to keep their shape for long. They are more like a relaxed fit, straight leg. I docked one more star because they do that annoying "waistband gap" thing at the back (where it sticks out a few inches even though it fits fine on the rear). I tend not to wear a belt with these, so when I'm wearing a slimfit shirt, the waistband gap is kind of obvious and spoils any slimming effect from the silhouette. They do seem durable, though.
