Womens Bootcut Jeans

Petite & Tall, Too

My favorite!
These are the jeans I have been looking for. They stay on my butt and I don't have to keep pulling them up like some of the lower rise jeans I have. And they aren't too tight around the waist like some womens ... Very comfortable!

Love ''em! Wish these ... came in more leg styles!
I purchased the Dreamer bootcut ... some similar J. Jill denim ... same day. I like them equally, but the J. Jill ones cost more than double my beautiful ON ... even with a discount. I love these ... so, they are quickly becoming my go to comfy but-great looking ... got Rinse B and get so many compliments on that wash! Great job, ON! The only downside of these ... petite were just a tiny tad too long, and I did get them hemmed just an inch or so. I am 5' 1" with average length legs for someone my height, I would guess. One special note is that I have an extra large booty and thighs thanks to regular weightlifting, and these ... snug on the butt and thighs, but not too tight. No gap at the waist, either! I have a pair of the Dreamer trouser ... order, and wish there was a slimmer leg option in the petite Dreamer ... would get them, too!

Great ... my Tall curvy frame!
I struggle to find ... plus sized and also long/tall. I'm 5'8" 250lbs and the 20 Long (my usual ON size) were perfect!!! I was so excited to find a pair of ... wash between my super dark trouser ... my lighter more casual bootcut ON ... These will be great for work and going out :) They do stretch out a little while wearing but with a belt will stay up ok.

Dreamer ...
I love these ... They are comfortable and look good on. The waist is high enough so you not continually pulling them up and when you sit down they don't hit so low that it shows your rear end. The dark wash is great to dress up and wear out. The light wash is casual and relaxed. I love the bootcut. I would love to see the Dreamer in a skinny jean to wear with long shirts and sweaters. But do not want the bootcut to go away, they are my favorite.

Great ... but sizing not consistent!
I have been wearing my favorites - the Old Navy Sweetheart bootcut ... - for the past couple of years, and my only complaint was that they stretched out so much after first putting them on that I always had to wear a belt to hold them up at the waist ,or they would creep down into that netherland on the backside, showing more than I wanted to show every time I'd bend over or stand up from a seated position. I was continuously yanking them up to where they should be, but they were the most comfortable ... have ever owned, so I put up with wearing a belt. I ordered my first pair of Dreamer ... online a few weeks ago in the Dark Night wash, and was pleased with the way they fit. They didn't slip down as much as The Sweatheart, with only a bit of stretching out at the waist after a day's wear. Overall I was so happy with my purchase that I ordered two more pairs when they went on sale, in the Chrissie wash and the Rinse B. The Chrissie wash fit perfectly, but the Rinse B wash was made of a much tougher, thicker denim, and the fit was smaller through the waist, thighs, and rear - too tight for my comfort - so I will have to return that pair. I have read other reviews saying the same thing, so if you order the Rinse B I would advise going a size up! I still love my Sweatheart ... but this newest style gives me a great alternative in comfort and style without the need for a belt. I have already washed one pair, and they look like they will hold up wonderfully through many years of wear!

NICE JEANS!
I'm tall - 5' 9" - fairly slim and 46 years old. Finding tall womens clothing is difficult enough, but finding jeans that are stylish, in current washes, that aren't made for a 20 year old's body is really a challenge. These are nice jeans that are current in cut and washes, fit well, but not skin tight. Flattering, definitely. I purchased two pairs and and very happy with them! THANK YOU FOR THE TALL WOMENS CLOTHING, OLD NAVY!

... SOOOO hard to fit!
I like these ... however, the regular length is waaaay too long! I have to order short to fit me & I'm not short at 5'5". And even the short get a bit too short after a few washes. And the bootcut is pretty slim through the thighs. I realize I don't have skinny thighs by any means, but really, these are tight enough that as I walk, they pull the waist down! I prefer the slightly roomier bootcut of the sweetheart ...

Not as I expected
I was very excited to find out that ON carries a new Dreamer ... higher rise than the Sweatheart ... highest rise that ON carried in store till recently; my ON store recently started carrying Dreamer but in regular lengths only). Not being happy with the sweatheart ... currently own, I decided to give Dreamer ... try. Since I'm only 5'2", I needed to order the short length in Dreamer ... online. I ordered a few different sizes since I wasn't sure what would fit me best...but I was disappointed with all of them for various reasons. They are all going back. It is a mid rise ... they say, not a High rise as I expected them to be. They were not quite high enough, so I still got a slight muffin top. Dreamer Boot Cut Regular ... size 6 Short gave less of a muffin top compared to the Dreamer Boot cut Petite size 6P ... Also the regular size 6 Short Boot cut looked more like a flare Jeans...which I didn't want. It is so hard to find true "bootcut" ... anymore. Most boot cuts now have a slight flare and most "straight" ... too baggy from the knee down. I wish ON would carry high rise ... true "bootcut" and skinny ... impossible to find skinny ... high rise although I did finally find one at GAP. Hopefully ON will start carrying more high rise ... also.

Oddly sized
Because of my shape, I often have a problem with the waist of my pants being too small and the legs being too big. I had the exact opposite problem with these ... waist was too big on me but the legs were so slim that I wouldn't even consider them bootcut. If you are looking for a slimmer cut than bootcut then these might be the ... If not, you might want to look elsewhere.

Was a little tighter around the waist than I like. Also, I prefer more of a flare than bootcut. I have found some bootcut styles that aren't as narrow, but this was not one of them. Overall, it was a nice jean, just not a good fit for me.
Not Was I Was Looking For
I was a big fan of the "At Waist Stretch Bootcut ... Old Navy used to sell. In fact I had 3 pairs. When the style was discontinued (as all 'at waist' styles are headed), I tried "The Dreamer" at Old Navy's suggestion. Well, it just did not work for me. I am not young enough nor slim enough to wear a lower cut jean and "The Dreamer" is still too low cut for me. Plus, I did not really get a slimming effect from them either. In fact, it just seemed like extra material in the wrong place - the waist - to me. Very disappointed. I know Old Navy is geared toward the young and hip, but please bring back the "At Waist Stretch Bootcut ... Essentials" work pants which were classic styles for classic customers!!!!!

Essentials" work pants which were classic styles for classic customers!!!!!

womens bootcut jeans - reviews

Low Rise Jean - Flatter Curves - Nice Shade
I'm 5' 1" and around 120 pounds. I usually order the Dreamer cut because the rise is higher. This cut of jean sits below the belly button. The shade of the jean is very flattering. Petite & Tall, Too

I LOVE THESE ... But order a size down!!!!
These are the most comfortable ... have ever worn. Old Navy sweetheart bootcut ... only ... have found that are truly comfortable and do not cut into my waist. I am normally a size 12 but I order these in a size 10. They do tend to stretch out a little as you wear them but not enough to make them droopy. Just comfy!

SEXY ...
These are the best ... ever!!!!!!!! I was a die hard Express ... girl until I slipped on a pair of ON Sweetheart bootcut ... They are sooooo comfy and sexy. Everytime I where them, I get compliments about how "sexy" my ... yay!!!!!! I will buy these forever!!!!!! ON, please PLEASE keep making this style / wash. The website has been out of my size for several months, making me think they are discontinued, but please PLEASE KEEP THESE ... They are my absolute FAVORITE clothing item EVER!!

Favorite ...
The Sweetheart bootcut ... my favorite ... I've worn them for years and they fit me better than any other cut of ... recently lost 20 pounds and had to go down a size (yay!) from 18W to 16. They're a teeny little big snug, but 2 months ago they wouldn't have zipped at all. They don't stretch out much during wear (which is a good thing), so the ... don't end up falling down by the end of the day. I bought the short length, which are fairly perfect for me because I'm only 5'4.5". I always end up walking on the hems of the regular length pants (no matter what style or material). I do wish they had more colors available.

Great ...
This is my first pair of ... Old Navy. I usually wear a 12 misses. These ... little too big for me because they are womens. I will order a size 10 the next time, but overall I love them.

Sweetheart of a jean!
The sweetheart bootcut ... have an awesome fit if you do 1 thing when ordering, ORDER A SIZE DOWN! The darkest color is a great tint and wearing a smaller size feels awesome too! They are very flattering. I am only 5' 3", but i order the regular length in ON ... because they tend to shrink up some in the dryer. I would recommend these ...

Great Bargain
I love these ... "skinny" jean look for pear shaped ... am able to wear the trend without looking like a sausage. I love these with heels and wedges for going out. The bootcut is very slim and just enough to fall over shoes. The waist is higher which I feel more comfortable in and the dark rinse is all over flattering for my curves. I wore them out for the first time and my friends wanted to know which designer ... they were. Shocked when I said " Old Navy"!

A "Finally!" moment for me
These Sweetheart ... definitely different from the Sweetheart ... 3 years ago. Material is different, a little thinner, but nothing terrible. The 3 yr. old pair that I have I liked except for one thing, the waist was HUGE. I always had to wear a belt w/o fail. The pair I just bought a couple months ago has not had that problem. The waist fits perfectly and doesn't have that huge gap of material in the back that makes them too big and always in need of a belt. I have not found them to stretch out a lot after wearing like so many others have. And they don't seem to shrink terribly in the dryer either. Now I will say this, the new ones I bought are the same size as my 3 yr. old ones. I have gained some weight over the last 3 years, so it is possible that I really would have gone up a size and that by buying the same size as 3 yrs. ago I actually DID go with a size down. That could be a very valid statement from other reviewers. And if that IS the case, one size down would definitely be your best bet. These fit *me* like a dream. I am 5'9 but I always buy long length pants, as my legs are long. I also tend to wear shoes that have a heel or thicker sole and need the long length pants. I have found the length to be just fine for me. Like another reviewer, I am also a volleyball player and have bigger thighs and these bootcut ... fit my legs great. It has been many years since I have found a pair of ... didn't gap in the waist but these ... work for me. Would be nice to have a little heavier, more substantial feeling material, but overall I am happy with them since I got a great deal on them. They were on sale 50% off and then I had a another 10% off coupon, so they only cost me about [$] a pair.

Good Choice for Hourglass and Pear Shapes!
I have purchased this style of ... both the bootcut and skinny version. I prefer the skinny style but it is difficult to find my size in store (12 Long). These ... run a bit big. I'm 5'11 and wear a 12 or 14 in most stores. I bought these in a 12, which is fitted but not too tight. I suggested ordering down if you are between sizes or smaller on bottom. They do stretch after wear. I have wide hips and do not look like a wide load in these ... They are very slimming on the hips and legs. I would recommend these ... anyone with thick legs or wide hips as the cut flatters this shape and has more give than some other styles. My only complaint would be for a more fitted waist and size options in store.

Bittersweet
I have mixed feelings about these ... . . .I hate bootcut, for one but I love the rise on these ... they are really comfortable so I deal with how stupid the bootcut looks on me. I do buy these ... work so they do get a lot of wash and wear BUT the material is extremely cheap!! I have gone through easily 4 pairs of these ... probably 6 months because they rip! I'm am buying my correct size. These ... literally seem to fall apart at the seems. The first pair I thought it was a fluke but it happened again and again. I'm so bummed because I really want to like these but at the same time it is honestly worth it to spend the extra cash on better quality ... even if they are for work. I wish old navy would get it together!

Disappointed in Fit
After trying on 6 pair of ... store, I decided on these Sweetheart bootcut because they fit the best and were not low rise. After wearing for the first hour (at a party), they were literally falling off my hips. At the end of the night, the ... were completely too big and were able to be pulled off without unzipping or unbuttoning. Very disappointed in this purchase. If you like the style of these ... probably should try on in store and purchase a size smaller than normal - because they will "wear in" quickly.
Wayyyy too long
I had to return these ... am 5' 10" tall with a 34" inseam. Finding pants long enough for me has always been a problem. I was excited when a freind told me Old Navy has Tall size womens ... But very disappointed to find only 2 styles to choose from in Talls. I ordered both because as I said it's difficult to find any at all long enough. But this pair was ridiculously long. They were 12 inches longer than my inseam and measured 46 inches. I've never seen ... pants that long before in my life! Other than the length the ... were average quality.
Soft, washed jeans are a stylish staple for do-nothing days. This classic pair features five-pocket styling and a zip fly with button closure.

They are very flattering. I am only 5' 3", but i order the regular length in ON ... because they tend to shrink up some in the dryer. I would recommend these ...

Great BargainI love these ...

A "Finally!" moment for meThese Sweetheart ... definitely different from the Sweetheart ...

Good Choice for Hourglass and Pear Shapes!I have purchased this style of ... both the bootcut and skinny version.

BittersweetI have mixed feelings about these ... . . .I hate bootcut, for one but I love the rise on these ... they are really comfortable so I deal with how stupid the bootcut looks on me.

Disappointed in FitAfter trying on 6 pair of ... store, I decided on these Sweetheart bootcut because they fit the best and were not low rise.
Wayyyy too longI had to return these ... am 5' 10" tall with a 34" inseam.

Nice ...
I would consider ... quite nice. I purchased ... first pair a year ago and ... worn a hole in the inner thigh so I am back online to buy some more. I am SO happy ON still carries ... Overall, I love ... difficult body to fit. I ... big pot belly; big round bottom and a large chest. I appear to be about 6 months pregnant all the time. I absolutely love ... have 2 pairs of the light color and one pair of the dark. ... nice weight, not super heavy ... not at all thin or spandex like so many ... days where you can see lumps and bumps. ... have a nice flare without being bellbottoms. I normally wear a 16 long - ... able to order them in a 14 long and ... fit beautifully. I ordered them in the dark and lighter wash. Both are great.

Overall nice ... but too big
I purchased both the trouser and bootcut ... long. The trouser were a bit shorter than the bootcut. Both were too big all over. Definitely order atleast 1 size down. I'm typically a size 20 in ON ... but even the 18's I exchanged for are too big. I still give them 5stars tho because once you get the right size ... best fitting and most comfortable ... own.

finally a pair of ... don''t gap!
... great! ... do NOT look like trouser ... me, because I have muscular thighs, ... look more like bootcut. I'm relieved that I won't have to bring them to the tailor to get them taken in in the waist, although I might sew on an extra button in the front to make them a touch tighter in the waist. The rise is perfect. ... aren't too low and ... aren't "mom" ... (even though I'm a Mom). Thanks Old Navy!

feeling confident
I'm in my 40s and work with youth. I stuggle with a wardrobe that lets both teens and adults see me as "normal." I'm not trying to dress like a teen but if I dress too old ... dismiss me. These ... great addition. While ... don't look like the low rise ... tiny teens wear, ... also aren't the balloon butt ... older ... sometime wear for comfort. These ... hold you in a way that lets you stand up tall and confident. The wash is pretty without being too dark. The bootcut gives a flattering outline. I can wear these to work, out to dinner, or running around town. I wish the short was 1/2 inch shorter so I could wear them with lower shoes instead of only my boots. If ON stocked the short in stores ... would sell more dreamer ...

Very large
I bought these in my usual size, a 20 short in womens regular sizes, I am an 18WS in plus sizes. The material is very nice, shaded just right and a great weight. It does however stretch more than normal so if you want these for a night on the town ... go a size smaller. Before washing these I could put them on and take them off with them buttoned and zippered. I just washed them in hot water in hopes they shrunk and it feels like they did a bit but they even though they are short in length, they are too long for my 5'2 inch frame, I won't be wearing these with my flip flops, and I am hoping they look ok with heels else they will have to be tailored. As other's mentioned, these ... flattering and comfortable, just big and extra long! ON, when will your clothes EVER be consistant??? Probably not ever since they are made for pennies in [...] some other foreign country.

Eh
The ... very blue. I don't love the stiching on the back pockets, but its OK. The cut is fine, but I wouldn't call it a trouser jean, its just a little more relaxed than their bootcut tends to be. Certainly not straight leg like I would prefer a trouser jean to be. I considered returning them, but it just isn't worth the hassle compared to what I paid. ... just won't be my go to ...

nice shape, thinner than expected
I am a big fan of the dreamer ... but wanted something with a little wider leg. I am short and curvy size 20 and the boot cut of the regular dreamer jean ends up being hemmed off. These run a littler smaller in the waist than the bootcut, but still fit true to size. ... comfortable and the dark wash is slimming and refined enough for a business casual look. My only dissapointment with them is that the denim is a little thinner than I expected. I thought ... would be the same weight as the dark wash bootcut dreamer style. Overall I am pleased with them and will likely buy another pair.

Great ... Size Down
I used to wear a size 4 in Old Navy shorts. This past Spring I had to get a size 6 in the cuffed shorts because the 4's were too snug. I only mention shorts, because I have never owned any ON ... usually wear are Silvers, but I decided to try Old Navy ... reason is because in some of the Silver ... like they are making them in a material that strecthes out way too much after just a couple hours of wearing. I don't want a saggy butt and stretched out knees. So, I decided to try ON ... bought a size 2 in these ... size 4 in the Dreamer Bootcut. I bought a size 2 in these because at the time that is all that was left, and I figured I could use them as a guide for either needing a 4 or 6. So, the size 4 in the Dreamer Bootcut was too tight, and the size 2 in these Embroidered Pocket ... fits perfect! That's why I gave the ... 4 stars. The sizing is off as usual. So, in my opinion, I would go down a size in these ... They feel like real ... don't stretch out after wearing them. I also don't have to wear a belt which I enjoy. Every woman is shaped differently. It may be best to buy your normal size and a smaller size as well just to be sure.

Not thrilling, but nice.
I bought ... pants because I was looking for a trouser jean, but I guess trouser ... aren't really for me. For reference, I am 200 lbs., size XL in ON tops, 12 in ON pants, and 5'10" and consider my shape to be rectangular (not many curves). Truthfully, ... pants are probably very nice for some peope, but for me ... were too loose in the waist, and the longer you wear them, the bigger ... get. I felt like ... were a little too wide also. I was looking for more of a straight leg or bootcut, but ... seem more like a very large flair. If I am not mistaken, the Dreamer is adverstised as a classic waisted "minimizing" pant, ... material was too soft to make the pant lay flat, and ... were more of a mid rise. I do have to say ... probably the softest ... have ever purchased. I'm not thrilled with them, ... need a dressy jean and have a long shirt to cover my tummy, ... alright. I would suggest buying down one to two sizes from what you would buy at other stores, depending on how tight you would like the pants to fit.

Ok, but not great
I am not sure why ON calls these "trouser" ... Just because the front pockets are slanted differently? They need to have a wider hem at the bottom to really get that trouser feel. Also, the stitching on the back pockets, while pretty, doesn't flow with the trouser idea either. After reading a lot of the reviews about these online, I was really skeptical about them fitting correctly. But after a month of debating and visiting my local ON store to see if they would ever get them in stock (only bootcut and skinny ... stock--WHY??? no one looks good in skinny ... NO ONE!) I finally took the leap this week and ordered them. [...] I was surprised at the color (I ordered the dark "mekong" color). After other reviewers said that they were almost as light as the lighter wash, I am not sure what ... purchased. These were dark, almost black in color. There are no lighter, worn spots on them at all, as opposed to the picture on line--but this is ok with me as normal "trouser" style pants wouldn't have this wear. Also, I ordered a size 18 so I do not need any strategically placed "worn" spots emphasizing my wide thighs. The rise was a lot higher than I prefer, but no, there is no muffin top or crack showing and ... not hardly considered a "mom jean". These ... were also a little longer than expected--I am 5'6" and normal length is what I always wear, but these are a good 2-3 inches longer. Fine with heels and wedges. Why is it so hard for ON or any other ... manufacturer to make a low rise in front, with a higher rise in back? I want my ... fit at my hips and not cut off the circulation to my stomach. I have two other pairs of ON ... both Diva bootcut, and ... same way. I was hoping for something a little classier in these ... but guess I will have to keep looking. ON sizing is waaaaay crazy anyways. (FYI--XL does not stand for "extra LONG") OVERALL--they fit fine, but should not be called trouser ... without some improvements. I think I'll keep these, but won't purchase them again. The search is still on for a decent low rise!
These classic wide-leg trouser jeans are a must for every wardrobe. Pair with a blouse and a tailored jacket for a crisp, cool look.

finally a pair of ... don''t gap! ... great! ... do NOT look like trouser ... me, because I have muscular thighs, ... look more like bootcut. I'm relieved that I won't have to bring them to the tailor to get them taken in in the waist, although I might sew on an extra button in the front to make them a touch tighter in the waist. The rise is perfect. ... aren't too low and ... aren't "mom" ... (even though I'm a Mom). Thanks Old Navy!

feeling confidentI'm in my 40s and work with youth.

Very largeI bought these in my usual size, a 20 short in womens regular sizes, I am an 18WS in plus sizes.

EhThe ... very blue. I don't love the stiching on the back pockets, but its OK. The cut is fine, but I wouldn't call it a trouser jean, its just a little more relaxed than their bootcut tends to be. Certainly not straight leg like I would prefer a trouser jean to be. I considered returning them, but it just isn't worth the hassle compared to what I paid. ... just won't be my go to ...

nice shape, thinner than expectedI am a big fan of the dreamer ... but wanted something with a little wider leg.

Great ... Size Down I used to wear a size 4 in Old Navy shorts.

Not thrilling, but nice.I bought ... pants because I was looking for a trouser jean, but I guess trouser ... aren't really for me.

Ok, but not greatI am not sure why ON calls these "trouser" ...

Essentials" work pants which were classic styles for classic customers!!!!!

womens bootcut jeans - reviews

NICE JEANS!I'm tall - 5' 9" - fairly slim and 46 years old.

Not as I expectedI was very excited to find out that ON carries a new Dreamer ... higher rise than the Sweatheart ... highest rise that ON carried in store till recently; my ON store recently started carrying Dreamer but in regular lengths only). Hopefully ON will start carrying more high rise ... also.

Oddly sizedBecause of my shape, I often have a problem with the waist of my pants being too small and the legs being too big.
