Very stoked!I have small hips. Not exactly the best thing when trying to find a pair of ... love these ... though! They make me feel good when I wear them and the length is perfect. I'm only 5' tall so I'd recommend not buying them in petite if you are any taller. Maybe one day they will make these in some fun colors like the Women's Perfect Khakis!
Looks great on!Took a chance on these ... b/c I never purchase ... online and they fit wonderfully. I'm usually a 7 in juniors, but a 4 in women's. They look great on and are great for work. The moment I tried them on, I got back online and bought a pair in brown! Definitely recommend these ... :o)
nice khakisI had to look forever to find khaki ... job during late spring season. Everyone had cargos, capris, or shorts. I finally found these @ ON, (should have checked there first) and they're perfect. The material is nice and doesn't attract too much lint/fuzies. The flare and flap pocket makes them flattering and stylish, yet they are professional enough for work. They are also breathable and very comfortable to work in. They are really true to size (not large/small for a 6). I bought them for work but I'll probably end up wearing them for other occasions as well... and maybe ordering more than the 2 pairs I already bought.
BummedIt is very difficult for me to find school ... fit--I'm 5'10" and fairly curvacious with very long legs. Usually, my ... end up being way to short, so I was thrilled when I found these ... tall sizes--my previous ... 35" inseam were a bit too short for my liking. So I ordered these in khaki and navy size 4, the size ... always wear and that supposedly matched my measurements on the ON size chart, in addition to the Women's Perfect Khakis(original). When I got them, I absolutely loved the style, texture, and comfort, but to my great disappointment they did not fit right at all. They didn't even fit the same, yet even on me, both ... were at least two inches too long the waist was very tight, and the khakis rode up in the crotch so as to do a great injustice to my derrière. I have no choice but to exchange them. It's too bad, too, because other than that, they seem like a great product.
just ok...I bought these online. ON ... seem to be highly variable in size. I ordered a 6 (I'm 5'4", 106 lbs) and they are large, but I have other ON cargos in 6 that are tight.... so I agree with other posters that the sizing is inconsistent. The shiny fabric is not my favorite - I was looking for casual, heavy duty cargos and these look a little more like they want to be dress ... But the stretch is comfortable and they didn't shrink on washing. So overall, they are ok, just not my favourite ...

Classic look, pajama pant feel.I'm an 18 tall across the board when it comes to Old Navy ... these are no exception. Great fit, very true to size and ultra comfortable without loosing any of that professional appeal needed for work. These ... have the gray) are very work appropriate, yet are so comfortable they feel like pajama bottoms you could do your yoga moves in as well. Did I mention they're comfortable?!? ha. Love the color, the fit, the length, the feel, everything. Only tiny thing I'm not super crazy about is the flap pockets on the rear. Being a bottom blessed female, I avoid flap pockets at most all costs simply because they draw attention to that area when it isn't needed... but these ... still pull of the flap pocket well, so I'm not worried about it. Overall, fantastic ... recommend very highly to everyone and I am considering purchasing this pant in the black as well!
way better than expectedI seriously bought these pants purely because they were on sale for cheap and I just desperately needed pants, any pants, for work. Instead, they have turned into my favorite all around pants for pretty much everything. They're slightly high waisted, which is good for those of us who don't have perfect abs (read: pretty much everyone), and the petite length is PERFECT even for me (I'm 5 feet tall and like my pants a bit on the long side). They're a bit loose in the waist, but that doesn't bother me; I'm extremely curvy and have this problem with pretty much everything except, like, tights. The bonus of the slightly longer rise is that it fits under tops very well, so you don't get that dreaded "flash your underpants at everyone" gap that can happen when pants are too loose in the waist. The wide waistband is a huge bonus because it actually fits a real belt (I usually wear men's belts for whatever reason, and for a lot of women's pants, the beltloops are too narrow to fit). I was concerned about the material at first because it seemed a bit scratchy, but after washing them once or twice, they feel perfectly comfortable and the weight of the fabric lets them drape really well, so I actually appreciate it, and the material doesn't seem to pill at ALL, which is awesome.
Perfect petite fit! Kept these in size 0, but kept the Women's The Flirt Perfect Khakis in size 2, which I also love!
Just rightI ordered four pairs of pants for work, two of which were Women's Essential Wide Leg Trousers. I ordered a 2 in each pair. I liked every pair, but I loved the wide leg trousers. They fit perfect and were true to size. They were just what I wanted.
Perfect!I am 6 feet tall, 158 lbs, I usually need 36" inseam, and I always have a hard time finding pants that would fit me just right, and I am always scared to order ... online. I risked it this time and ordered these ... they are perfect! My thighs are kinda bigger... and many pairs of ... usually very tight on my thighs. And I do have a waist, and many pairs of ... stick out so much in the back above my bottom. But these ... really perfect. Nothing of the above happens with these ... ordered size 10 tall and went ahead and bought the other two colors, too! :)
Good work pants for a great pricePleasantly surprised with these pants. Love the wide waistband and the drape of the fabric. Love the pockets on the side as most women's work pants do not have. Major plus in my book. Length a bit inconsistently. 3 pairs ordered hit exaclty right and 1 pair was a bit too long. Good work pants for a great price!
versatile ... great service Old Navy ... staple in my closet as they are generally sized better for my frame than any of the other major merchandisers AND they wash very well without the need for dry cleaning. These ... nice weight, and the fit is in line with other ON ... although these might be slightly tighter in the waist than others. In the petite size, the dimensions are well proportioned, and the width of the leg on the lower half of the pant is loose but not exaggerated. As with many ON ... flap pocket can be easily tucked into the open part of the pocket so that you can wear the ... flap pocket or a flat pocket--the weight of the pant makes this possible as long as the ... have not been purchased to fit too snugly. I happen to like this feature as the flap pocket can be more flattering to those of us who are less endowed in the rear, but, with certain tops, it certainly is nicer to tuck in the flap and have a flatter silhouette. The customer service assistance with this purchase was excellent--I was pleasantly surprised to receive better service than some of the high end retailers I've purchased from in the past.
Not the same...These ... definitely aren't the same as the previous style. I stock up on these every year or so, and kept hoping ON would release something similar to the older style. That didn't happen, so I gave these a try. The ... aren't awful, but the cut in the hips and through the thighs is very different. I prefer a straight cut as that is a better match for my figure, but these have those awful 'wings' of extra fabric on either side. The side pockets are different, too. I used to be able to keep my cell phones in the pockets without an issue, but now with these ... looks completely awkward and bulgy to keep my phones in the pockets, and adds a ton of width (and the illusion of weight!) to my hips. I bought the petite size, since ON no longer offers a short option, as I have learned that their ... run long. The petite size is perfect with heels, but a bit long for flats (I am 5' 7"). The rear is way too loose for me -- again, a straighter cut is more flattering because that can accommodate a wider variety of figures. These ... wearable, but not the greatest version of the ON basic work pant.
The Old Ones Were SO Much Better...These ... way higher and the waist is way tighter than the previous version of the Essential dress pant. I purchased these because Old Navy has always had the perfect fit dress ... other clothes for me. I purchased the same size and length I always do but the waist line was so tight that it gave me a stomach ache and I had to leave work to change. I can't even wear these ... anymore and am EXTREMELY disappointed. I'm going to have to go elsewhere for my dress ... now. Also, the flap pockets are not at all flattering when you have a less than-flat rear end.
