Great ...
I love these ... Very polished looking and the flaps on the back look great on me. I bought a size 2 in black and grey. Great dress ...

Little in the middle and got much back...
Loved the predecesors of these and wore them to death! Just got these in and they are even better than before! I'm 5'2" 115lbs and have ~26" waist/37.5"hips and the 4P fits perfect. I usually have such a problem with dress ... pretty much all ... being too big in the waist and too snug in the hips, however these fit me perfect in both spots, just like ON's Perfect Khaki ... shorts do... If only they would take this sizing and cut to BR ... I can never find ... BR that fit in spite of the fact it's the same company... Frustrating! However, these and the Perfect Khaki line at ON are the fit for me and my demensions... Always consistent and always great!

Tried and true, durable work pants
For the price, you can't beat these pants! I have several pairs in different colors and rotate them in my work wardrobe. I'm long waisted and luckily the cut of the waist sits on my hips low enough so that my shirts and blouses stay tucked in. If your dress code at work is casual or not, these pants are versatile enough to dress up or down.

Best fitting dress slacks I''ve ever owned
I am 5'11", and narrow in the hips, and have always had a difficult time finding dress pants to fit properly AND are long enough (I usually wear heels with business attire). These pants are without a doubt the best fitting, most flattering dress slacks I have found yet! And, they are PLENTY long in tall size!! They wash and wear beautifully too, although I think dry cleaning them would increase their life cycle. I have a pair in every color!!

Great Pants for Work/School
I absolutely LOVE ON's Essential line! I already own two pair of pants from this line that were purchased years ago. They are very comparable to my dress pants from Banana Republic, Express and the Limited, although they are much easier to maintain! By this I mean that you can throw them in the washer and not have to worry about messing them up! They don't shrink or fade (I've washed them SEVERAL times on the normal dryer settings) and they tend to keep their creases well (which makes them easier to iron). The only "con" to these pants is that they weren't available in an ankle length and I had to hem them up a couple inches so I could wear them with my flats. Overall, you definitely can't go wrong purchasing these reliable, stylish and comfortable dress pants!

PLEASE PLEASE RESTOCK OLD NAVY!!!!!!!!!!!
I have been waiting on these ... restocked for a while now!! I have the older version of these ... have pretty much worn them out...they are my favorite dress ... have ever had. When will ON get more??

nice pants for work,
i took the advice of other reviewers and ordered a size up. I usually wear a size 6 ON jeans, but have have khakis which are size 8's so I ordered these dress pants in an 8 regular. i guess their khakis and dress pants run small? the fit is perfect (I wouldn't want them any tighter and maybe a hair looser) and the length is almost perfect. i do not believe these are actually a 32 inch inseam though, so i bought them planning to hem them but probably won't have to even wearing flats. i like the fit and am happy i followed the advice of other reviewers. for references i am 5'4" and weight 145 lbs. my legs are a bit short and i have a longer torso. you just never know what you are gonna get with old navy's crazy sizing. lucky for me these fit!

I am a 53 year old 5'6" 128 lbs with a pretty much straight up and down, no hips and a little bit of booty figure who avoids heels. I ordered these in a 4 tall and they were a full 36" inseam, too long to hem without ruining the leg opening, and too full through the hip and thigh. Exchanged for a 2 regular. Hip area is still a bit roomy but wearable especially so because the rise isn't baggy and long and I usuually wear a longer jacket which covers the hip area. Length just touches floor in bare feet which is the curse of the 5'6" woman and I will have to let out the hem to lengthen. There is VERY LITTLE fabric left in the hem so additional hem tape will have to be added : / On the positive side...considering the price these ... great deal! Cute design and better tailoring and quality than I would expect as well as a nice well draping fabric. Nice fabric re enforcement on the inside waistband makinking them crisp and stable. For the price plus a little tailoring I have three pair of decent fashionable work ... rather than one $100 dollar pair of upscale basic dress slacks. Plus Old Navy customer service allows exchanges at no charge. Some comments on back pocket flap baffle me. I find they lay flat, add a nice detail, and look to be able to be opened into the actual pocket if desired. I can see how they may stick out if ... worn with a tighter fit in which case they could easily be tacked down. In all, an afforadable fashionable choice for everyday workwear .

Not at all what i expected
Unfortunately Old Navy has really limited their availability of some great cords, khakis and dress ... LONGS! These ... were an awful material, cut too small and not long enough.
Nice pants but too short!
I ordered these pants hoping they would fit since some of the reviews stated they ran short. Unfortunately, they were way too short. I've always ordered a 6 Regular from Old Navy and never had a problem with the fit and length. The overall fit and look of these pants are wonderful but they are so short. I'm 5'7" and these ... were too short to wear with flat shoes, so forget about wearing them with heels to work! Since I loved the fit on these ... decided to order the 6 Tall hoping they would also run a little shorter than stated so that they would be perfect on me. No such luck! The 6 Tall was so long on me that I had to have them tailored. I'm so bummed that Old Navy made the inseam short on these ... because their dress ... usually my favorite ... work. I will definitely be ordering from another company this year.
The Old Ones Were SO Much Better...
These pants are way higher and the waist is way tighter than the previous version of the Essential dress pant. I purchased these because Old Navy has always had the perfect fit dress pants and other clothes for me. I purchased the same size and length I always do but the waist line was so tight that it gave me a stomach ache and I had to leave work to change. I can't even wear these pants anymore and am EXTREMELY disappointed. I'm going to have to go elsewhere for my dress pants now. Also, the flap pockets are not at all flattering when you have a less than-flat rear end.
Dress for success at the workplace and beyond in these professionally polished trousers, clearly an "essential" for every woman's wardrobe. A slightly wider ...

Great ... I love these ... Very polished looking and the flaps on the back look great on me. I bought a size 2 in black and grey. Great dress ...

Little in the middle and got much back...Loved the predecesors of these and wore them to death!

Tried and true, durable work pantsFor the price, you can't beat these pants! I have several pairs in different colors and rotate them in my work wardrobe. I'm long waisted and luckily the cut of the waist sits on my hips low enough so that my shirts and blouses stay tucked in. If your dress code at work is casual or not, these pants are versatile enough to dress up or down.

Best fitting dress slacks I''ve ever ownedI am 5'11", and narrow in the hips, and have always had a difficult time finding dress pants to fit properly AND are long enough (I usually wear heels with business attire). These pants are without a doubt the best fitting, most flattering dress slacks I have found yet! And, they are PLENTY long in tall size!! They wash and wear beautifully too, although I think dry cleaning them would increase their life cycle. I have a pair in every color!!

Great Pants for Work/SchoolI absolutely LOVE ON's Essential line!

PLEASE PLEASE RESTOCK OLD NAVY!!!!!!!!!!!I have been waiting on these ... restocked for a while now!! I have the older version of these ... have pretty much worn them out...they are my favorite dress ... have ever had. When will ON get more??

nice pants for work,i took the advice of other reviewers and ordered a size up.
