Great buy
I bought this dress in every color and it is very easy to wear and flattering to my figure. The V neck is a little to low cut for me, but a cute tank under dress fixed this issue. Every time I wear dresses everyone compliments me all day long. Easy in the wash and in the dryer.... :-)
Great Dress!!!
I don't get the negative reviews. I bought three of these dresses in different colors. I love wrap dresses and have a black, brown and print one but wanted a few more spring dresses in colors!. These were on sale so I "stocked up" for work. I bought blue, green and pluwm. All colors are very flattering and the dress is amazing. I have two small children and am still trying to lose baby weight but this makes my waist look small and really accentuates my curves. I dont' feel as though i look lumpy or bumpy at all. The top is a bit loose but I am going to have them tailored so they fit better.

Wrap dresses are difficult to find in my experience. This is a good on and definitely exceeded my expectations. Much more comfortable than a similar dress I purchased at American Apparel.
I really like wrap dresses and will keep this one but it is a little shorter than shown and much more revealing in the top. I couldn't wear it to work without a tank top underneath, it tends to open more as you wear it. I like the fabric and lines of the dress, just wish it wrapped a little better across the top.
Love this Dress
I am a huge fan of wrap dresses because they are quick outfits for work or for going out. It's great! I do wish that there were more color options but the one that have will do!
Nice Dress for Work/ After Work
This was a great dress for work, and is also appropriate for after work dinner or drinks. As far as wrap dresses go, this is a good one, because it doesn't open up or separate when you sit down. The only thing I could say is that it is a little too thin. I had to wear a tank underneath to hide the lines of my bra, which show right through. Good for the price though.
must be proportionate to wear this dress
i ordered this dress in black and light blue. after trying on the dresses i found that the black was too big in the bust and slightly too small in the hips (i'm a pear shape, which doesn't bode well for wearing dresses). to close the top i tied the waist as tight as i could, which made the dress gather and bunch in the back. with a little finagling though the dress will work for me. as for the light blue dress... i ordered a large, my order online said large, the order slip said large, the individual clear plastic bag the dress came in said large, and the dress was an x large, so it will have to be returned. not sure how this happened, but just a buyer beware.
I've been looking for a black wrap dress for ages, and thought that I'd finally hit jackpot. This dress really flatters a bigger bust and, for the first time with old navy dresses, I don't have to wear a cami underneath it! I ordered this dress in tall and the fit is perfect in that it hits just below the knee. Unfortunately, that's the only thing I like about this dress. The sleeves are a bit too long - they hit mid forearm instead of at the elbow, probably because I ordered a tall - and it is a little bit baggy in the underarm area too. Also, if you tend to be a bit curvy, the jersey material is not a good idea -it shows every bump and bulge! All in all, I think I'm going to have to keep searching for the perfect wrap dress.
A Little Disappointed
I bought a dress for myself and my niece. She is 5'6" and busty and I am 5'0" and not. We are not overweight but nor rail slim and the dresses did not fit either one of us well. The problem area was the top which was so loose that wearing a cami is a necessity. Even with a cami, the material did not lay flat and "pouched" out. We returned both of the dresses.
Cheap fabric
I love wrap dresses, so I was very excited to see that Old Navy had one at such a great price. However, I was very disappointed when I received it. I ordered it in the black, and you can see right through it. It was also a little short for work. I'm 5 ft 4 in, and it hit about 4 inches above my knee (in the size XS). I'd like to see this dress revamped in a different fabric and lengthened to the knee or slightly below for more versatility.
NOT what I expected
I already have this style wrap dress from last year's line. This is not the same quality as the 2 wrap dresses I already have. The material is alot lighter, but more clingy :( The tie is very confusing to wrap & tie around your waist and if pulled too much, too tight it caused gapping hole on the side were " tie belt" is looped through and you could see my skin! Also, the old wrap dress I have was completely stiched closed on the inside layer, which was really nice and helped keep dress closed in front - this one is NOT! When I sat down, the dress seemed to be too loose and opened up too much. Also, the chest is WAY TOO LOOSE, like other reviewers have pointed out. I would NOT be able to wear this dress without a cami underneath. The length was just a little shorter than I expected. My old wrap dresses are longer in length, more slimming, and more flattering than this one. This dress seems to make me look short waisted and round! I'm 5'7, 123 lbs. very slender, and I ordered the S. Not sure if the XS would have made any difference - I'm returning!!

All Around Great..........
This is probably one of the more comfortable and versatilke dresses I have ever owned. Can be worn ANYWHERE, and still makes me look good. Easy to care for makes it even more worthwhile........

I really love this dress, however as others have said, it is a little short. I am 5' 3" and ordered the regular in size XS in Purple People Eater. I will wear it to work with khakis or jeans underneath (my new favorite way to wear dresses!) and as is on the weekends. Wish it was just a little longer to have more versatility but it is a really cute dress that will take me from spring to fall.
WAY TOO SMALL!!!
I normally wear a size XL, but I like my dresses to be kind of loose, so I ordered an XXL. Also, I like my dresses to hit at my knee, so I also ordered the dress as tall. The XXL fits like I would have expected the XL to. It FIT. almost a little too small. and the Tall didn't help at all. The dress still hit about 6 inches above my knee. I'm not a tall person, I'm about 5' 6", so I really thought that buying the dress in tall would fix all my problems with that situation, but I was so wrong. I know that I could try to buy this dress in plus size, but last time I did that the smallest plus size was huge on me. I really recommend buying this dress at least one size larger than normal, unless you like your dresses to be skin tight and halfway up your thighs!

If you are tall...I am not sure what you are going to do unless you just happen to be a fan of super short dresses. Oh, this dress was kind of sheer too.

About time
I recently lost 30 pounds & haven't worn a ... above the knee in 10 years. I live in Houston where it is hot & steamy & promised myself this would be the year! I tried one of these dresses on in the store just as they were running out of them in clearance & LOVED IT! So as soon as I got home I went online & ordered several of them in all the colors I could get my hands on. Then I ordered some more! And then some more! I wanted to make sure I had plenty of spares. I have a curvy figure, but not overweight ;) & am large busted 38DD & the babydoll empire fit is extremely flattering. I bought them in both regular & tall sizes since I wasn't sure how the wash/dry would go. If you buy them in the regular size, they do shrink up in the length if put in the dryer, but I just tugged on mine a bit to get the length back. But the ones I got in tall sizes shrunk to the perfect length in the dryer. They hit just above the knee...I'm 5'6". So if you get the regular size, I would recommend hang drying to save the original length. But I love these dresses & have gone to the grocery store, mall, post office, movies, out to eat & just plain bummin' around in them & they are perfect, cute & comfy! Have already been asked by others, where I got em'? Would recommend them to everyone & hope they don't discontinue them as I would like more in more colors. But if you do....BRING EM' BACK next year! It's about time that someone came out with something comfortable & cute, yet affordable for "normal" sized ... ;) Thanks Old Navy!

This ... super comfy, and not clingy at all. I'm 5'4" and very curvy. I don't care for really short dresses, and this one worked well. I ordered 3 dresses, all XL Tall. They hit me right at my knee and are roomy without looking too baggy. The only problem I encountered was that one of the dresses was CLEARLY mismarked. It had to have been a petite b/c I can't bend over without showing Christmas to the world. It hit me at mid thigh. I could have returned it, but decided to keep it and wear it with capri leggings. It looked awesome! It would also work as a swimsuit coverup (given the short length), or just a knock around ... house. I wouldn't wear something so short in public. The tall length worked much better for me. So if you want it to hit you at the knee, order a tall. If you want it shorter like a tunic with leggings, order a petite. I'm sure a regular would fall somewhere in b/t there. I will be purchasing every color of XL Tall available! I really love this ...

I ordered these dresses (1 black, 1 gray and-white striped) on sale, from the website. I'd visited an Old Navy store that day, and there were literally NO DRESSES anywhere in the store. (Cool Springs Old Navy, you are the worst!) I went to the website, determined to spend my coupon, and saw these. These are WONDERFUL dresses! So flattering to my figure. The fabric is thicker and of better quality than I expected, giving the ... nice shape when it's on. The elastic gathering is just a tad lower than a typical empire waistline, but is very flattering. The fabric flares nicely away from my body, giving an A line silhouette that conceals my problem area (belly). The ... also very versatile- I can throw it on with a scarf and flip flops to get frozen yogurt with friends, or add a belt and cute earrings to go out. The black especially is easy to ... up. One of my favorite Old Navy purchases ever!

Wow, I can't believe that I can fit this ... room. With this ... can go down a size. Normally I shop in womens plus but I can fit a xx large in this ... love the ... makes me look good, I look cool, calm relaxed and sexy I love it . I have every color.

I love these two dresses that i bought. The only thing was that i bought an XL which is what i usually wear and in these dresses i should have gotten a L. Other than that these dresses are comfy and i love running around in them. I will definantly be buying more of these.

I bought two of these dresses, thinking that they would be cute casual ... wear as a cover up or to go out to dinner. I ordered my usual size & they are both huge! They just hang on me. If you are going to buy this ... get a size smaller than usual. They run big.

Versatile
I am not a ... person, but I like this ... because it does not feel stuffy. I can move freely without worrying about popping a button off. It does not restrict my movement at all. It flows very nicely. It's comfortable and I can wear it to church or throw on some nice sandals or flip flops with it (which I won't, but it's nice to know I can) or put on some pumps and accesories to ... up. A good introduction to wearing dresses.

I bought this ... because I'm going on a cruise and need dresses to wear to dinner (for the casual nights), plus I prefer to wear dresses in the summer, and I am very happy with this purchase. The fabric is thicker then I anticipated and seems to be very well made. You have to wear the belt with it otherwise it would just look like a sack. I am "pear shaped" and this ... very complimentary. I ordered it in red too.

I absolutely love this ... I'm 5'2" with a tiny waist, but I have a 34DD chest so it's often difficult to find small sized dresses that fit my chest. This ... nice and loose and doesn't show a lot of cleavage, so I can feel comfortable and casual in it. I wear the sash as shown in the picture, so it has sort of a Grecian tunic look. It's lightweight material but so far has held up well, and I got the blue color so it's not see through at all. I love, love, love this ...

Very SHORT!!!!
I am 5'2" and normally wear a size 4. I ordered this ... X small in regular length instead of petitie after reading the reviews that mentioned how short it runs. This ... also fits a little big but is is still VERY SHORT!!! I am going to use it as a beach cover up instead of a ... since it would be great to throw on over a swim suit with flip flops. It is very casual and wouldn't be appropriate office wear and it is way too short to wear around in public! I guess I will start ordering TALL in dresses from Old Navy from now on!
TOO SHORT!!
This dress is a good idea gone wrong. I ordered the grey and the color is as it appears online. I would have preferred navy, black or plum rather than the other candy colored choices. I am only 5'7 but I ordered a Tall because all Old Navy regular dresses are way above the knee on me. I was disappointed with this dress because even the Tall was above the knee on me. It is frustrating that Old Navy doesn't understand that a lot of ... think a slightly below knee length is the most flattering (I've seen lots of complaints like mine so I know I am not alone.) It seems like a no brainer from a design standpoint. If a girl wants it short, order the regular size. Tall should be significantly longer or why bother selling a Tall size? Other than that, I thought it would be a fun dress to accessorize up and down, but back it goes because it is just too short. PLEASE, Old Navy, make the Tall dresses longer!!!
Way too big
I typically wear a small or 4-6 in dresses, and the small in this was just HUGE. Plus, when I actually tied the dress tight enough to fit my shape, it rode up significantly--and then it was way too short to be work appropriate. Overall, I love Old Navy dresses. I think they're a great deal. But this is just a miss. Don't waste your money (even if it is just [$]).

the top should be tapered more! you have to use the belt to create the torso area and then it just looks completely bunched up. I typically wear size L dresses from old navy, I might try the medium, but i think it's a style flaw, not just the fit on me. Order smaller than you think!
